I will not use the word "superior' because that invokes a hierarchical order of metaphysical establishments, and that isn't accurate, but Supreme may be more the correct term for the shopping experience here. For new age, mystic, metaphysical, occult, rock lovers, and otherwise fringe research and history, this is your place. Books, jewelry, equipment, resources, knick-knacks, home decor, you name it, and that's not including their rock and crystal "emporium," I will call it, which is a dedicated wing of the shop you would never know was there from the outside. I cannot say enough about how much I love that wing, and the amount of different crystals and rocks ranges from the inexpensive and mundane to the hyper exotic and mystical and everything in between. The staff are so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They do not pretend to be familiar with something they aren't, and they will direct you to the best sources to help find answers to your questions or to help you explore what the world refuses to confirm as real. And inclusion and identity are celebrated here. Diversity is welcomed and expressed freely in this setting, and it feels very much like a breath of fresh air among the archonic world we live in.
And that does not mention the in-house booth they have for local psychics, oracles, tarot readers, astrology/human design experts, and other sources of mystical wisdom to rent and work out of. There is almost always a talented, vetted individual there with some insight on the otherwise inexplicable.
100/10. In fact just for my weird...
Read moreCool items in the store, but years ago I was convinced by the tarot card reader to do a reading. I was in high-school and nobody explained to me beforehand that it was gonna cost money. My dad told me we had to leave. So before we got even 5 minutes into said "reading," I had to go. Never got to finish the reading so it was incomplete. I got up to leave and the front desk lady told me I still had to pay for the service. Confused, short changed, afraid of conflict and reluctant I paid and walked out, (without being asked if i wanted a receipt.) Then the tarot reader runs out of the store as im getting into my dad's truck and demands payment. I told her I already just paid at the front desk and she hounds me to see a receipt. I told her I wasn't given a receipt but to talk to the front desk lady, since I did in fact pay. I then told her there should be a sign up if you're going to charge people for the readings, I had never gotten one before and didnt ask for one. It was a slow night and The reader simply asked if I wanted one, and me being a high-school knucklehead said yes without getting all the info first. It was awful. Haven't been back since. Cool stuff in the store, poor customer service...
Read moreI had a great expirence with one of the women that worked there. She helped me pick out some books and was overall very insightful. Unfortunately I was there for good vibes/energy and shortly after my expirence with her I was met with a very negative employee who was disrespectful and demeaning to me and treated me like I was going to steal from her. "I am just really protective over my stones" was her justification after aggressively approaching me and my friend and asking us what we were trying to do. Later I talked to the cashier who defended this women's actions and the women herself approached me and defended herself and went as far as to invaide my personal space and rub my back without my consent while I was upset. Overall it ended up being a bad expirence. I bought the books and really wanna thank the women who helped me pick them out but I will not be returning to that store due to the treatment from the rest of the staff.
Honestly, from that entire interaction by the cash register I just wanted the woman to acknowledge what she did and apologize but all she did was get defensive and be very condescending. Very...
