First of all, on a good day, Popeyes chicken is hard to beat. The flavor/seasonings of popeyes chicken is delicious... if it's fresh. Tonight's visit could have been better. I ordered a chicken strip combo w mac & cheese, a chicken sandwich w extra pickles, and a 3 piece mild chicken combo w mac & cheese. Upon reaching the drive-thru window, all you could smell was weed. The cashier tried handing me my drinks, which were completely covered in pop splatter. I had to ask for a napkin, as there was no way I was setting the pop filled cups in my cup holder. She handed me my food, all in one small bag. I began to drive away as my daughter was checking the bag. Everything was there but the sandwich and half a portion of mac & cheese. One of the sides of mac & cheese was full, and the other was about half full... like it was the last portion they had & they just fudged it. I drove back & as soon as I exited my vehicle, the stench of skunky weed filled the air. I went in & the window clerk saw me but was taking orders. I was approached by another employee who asked if I was dining in or carrying out. I told her I was missing something from a drive-thru order. She wanted to see the receipt. Presented it for her and also told her the mac & cheese was half full. She then asked to see the mac & cheese. As I was standing inside the restaurant, my girls were eating their mac & cheese in the car. The employee said, "Well, there's nothing I can do since I can't see it to check if it's really half full. Whatever.. okay, fine. She then said, "Well, I can replace the sandwich for you, if you want". Of course I want to receive the sandwich that I paid for but did not get! Opinions on the food: strips were old, chicken pieces were good, mac & cheese tasted good, sandwich was more greasy than usual and had no pickles. Anyway, long review, but this was my experience. I went through the drive thru for my family. I purchased 3, 5 piece meals. Once I got home I realized that the meals were incorrect, everything from the amount to the sides. I called, and was told to come back the following day or within the next 30 days after he took my information to have the meals replaced.
I went back the following day, the manager remembered talking to me and was going to replace the meals, however another manager said no because I didn't have the receipt. Unhappy I said I'd bring the receipt back another day and expect the meals at that time. Tonight after work once again, I returned to the store, with the receipt this time and spoke to the manager that denied my request the last time. Instead of keeping his and the other managers word, he accused me of lying and fought me on replacing the meals with the proper meals. See I can understand policy just fine. However when I have to drive all the way home to find that 3 meals are incorrect and then while still at the store get attitude from an employee for asking for more sauce. Have to pay .39 a piece fort those sauces and to top it off get called a liar. I absolutely refuse to ever go back to this location. EVERY time I've gone to this location I've had an issue. Either with food or service. Honestly I'd visit KFC before ever going to another one of your locations in Omaha again, and I hate KFC! Spent 30 minutes in line to tell them the name on my to-go order. They averaged about 5 minutes between helping each person.
After I told them the name on the order, it was another 25 minute wait time because they were out of spicy chicken and my name wasnât on the screen.
Everyone before and after me (besides one person who was 3 spots ahead of me in line) has left.
Asked them about the order. Itâs not even on the screen! The girl taking orders left 20 minutes ago and threw the paper to the side. So my food wasnât even being made at this point.
Pretty mad now. Maybe 5 cars in the drive thru and only 2 others inside within the next 15 minutes it took for them to pack my food up. So they were past the dinner rush now. Everything I ordered was already made, they just took 15 minutes to pack it up.
I wish I were kidding. I WATCHED them do it. Spicy chicken was long done at this point, all the sides were on the heaters and bread was made over 5 minutes ago. They finally managed to box it (2 of them doing this for 24 pieces of chicken and 5 sides). I asked for honey and ranch. Girl went over to get more honey, comes back and just stops to watch the screen. Iâve been here for OVER a whole HOUR and shes wasting even more of my time doing something else.
I got NO apology for the wait, the manager (I believe) just left in the middle of the rush, the only people doing anything was the cooks and guy taking drive thru orders. Everyone else is so busy talking to each other or standing there clueless. The front counter was also not that clean.
If you want Popeyes so badly, go to another location. This one will quite literally...
