Andrews Seed Co — Local services in Ontario

Twice now I have called when they open to see if a particular tree was available so I could buy it over the phone, put a sold tag on it then pick it up later as I live an hour away. Both times, they didn’t seem too thrilled about locating the plant, even more irritated when I asked about the different sizes and costs. The first time was a female and second time was a male I talked to. First time, I ended up buying my trees over the phone and then bought more when I came into the store. Spent $800. Second time, I talked to a male who wanted to get me as little information as possible, even had the audacity to say after I told him I would buy my tree over the phone, ‘well I would have to know what size you want and what there is available, (pause)…I was like, ‘Ummm, can you find that out and let me know?’…I ended up hanging up on hold as this was the second time my purchase over the phone seemed to irritate the staff and sadly this would have been my second purchase there ever. Wish I could give no stars! Only buy if you wanna loose alot of money!!!

I bought 50lbs of dryland mix in March to plant 5 acres and only 30% of the seed took. It was all watered the same as another section side by side that I did with a dryland mix from D & B Supply (only did D&B because I was a 10lbs short on seed and it was a Sunday and Andrews was closed). I called to see if Andrews could do anything on the couple hundred of dollars in seed I would need to purchase and replant again. Mike the owner took no responsibility and hung up on me. Customer service was horrible and he refuses to back up his product. Saying once it leaves his store there is nothing he will do, making it sound like it was all me but this isn't my first time planting and there was no reason 1 seed should take when another won't when it is side by side from each other in the same environment and the same irrigation. His staff even told me that it shouldn't have been lightly harrowed in... even tho I live on a hillside with constant wind. I wont be doing anymore business with...

I was looking for some small gifts for Christmas, and I happened upon this website by way of Garden Answer. I found 5 beautiful Scandinavian Christmas tree ornaments, and also got one for me! I also was looking for something special for our sear neighbor and friend, who is very much family, and she lost her dad in October. The whole family loves all things owls, and when I saw the glass owl ornament, I knew it had Tonia’s name all over it! Everything made the trip from Oregon to Pennsylvania, and not one thing was chipped or broken, you could tell it had been packaged with great care! Everyone loved their ornaments, especially my sweet neighbor/friend Tonia, who has taken down her Christmas tree, but put up a ficus tree with lights and hearts for Valentine’s Day, and Mr. Owl is front and center!
