Oregon Trail Hobbies & Gifts — Local services in Ontario

As a local, I was shocked at the treatment my friend and I received from the Oregon Trail Hobby Shop. I had bought a fidget spinner for my friend from this place. It was pretty pricy but he had lost his other one and this is the only place carrying them in town so far. We found the spinner to be less quality than the ones we were used to. It states on the receipt that we can exchange as long as the item is in re-sellable condition, which it was. We returned to the store to see what else they had. When we walked up the counter and stated that we wanted to exchange we were immediately met with a slight attitude from one of the owners. Mind you, my friend and I both work in retail, so we understand that returns can be frustrating. My friend was very polite in explaining why he didn't like it. We asked to see more options of the spinners. We even exchanged for a MORE EXPENSIVE ONE. The whole time we were met with attitude. Nearing the end of the transaction my friend asks the lady, "how's your day so far?" The lady replied, "well, it WAS going good." Implying that our return had upset her. We looked around the shop to see what else they had. We understand its a local business so things are more expensive. But the treatment we had just recieved left us feeling that the shop was no longer worth looking at. As fellow retailers, this attitude is shocking and frankly a little rude. It's sad to say we will not be shopping there or referring our own customers to this...

I called here the other day to see if they had parts for my arrma kraton and when asked what I was looking for I was told that arrma was the biggest peice of junk and they won't carry there product anymore First as a business owner you don't talk trash on other companies and especially to a consumer that likes the product best of luck you...

The people who own this store are aweful! I was so disappointed in the customer service. Normally I want to support small business but this was horrible. I will be shopping in Boise for my craft and hobby needs. I just read another review and in the response the owner accused another business owner of selling drugs!! Nice...
