So, we had ordered a mattress at a big box store. They told us it would ship in 10 days and that it would cost $70 for an out of town delivery (since we're more than 20 miles away). Anxious to get our new mattress, I called at day 11 to see if there was an update. He said that it would probably be there in a few days. I asked if we could set up a delivery time and was told that they couldn't until the mattress arrived. It arrived the next day (although no one informed me). I waited two more days and, not getting any update, I called and asked if had arrived. I was told that they did out of town deliveries one day a week and the next two weeks were booked out so it would be 3 weeks. We scheduled the delivery appointment (I will admit that I was frustrated that I had to initiate the appointment). In the meantime, I asked Eldredge if they could order this exact mattress. They could. They also told me that they have approximate wait times on delivery to the store and that the mattresses show up when they show up (maybe 10 days, maybe 2 weeks, maybe longer). I cancelled my big box store order and then ordered the same exact product through Eldredge. They called me 7 days later letting me know it had arrived at the store AND delivered it the next day! Read moreWe bought some chairs and a mattress set in January.Real nice customer service and help in the store. Nice delivery people and huge selection. But now it is after the fact we bought. I bought a Brookridge Euro Mattress set. We had problems right off with lumps in our mattress. I was told "its like a pair of shoes you have to get used to it" Well, months go by and we are switchng between sleeping on our new mattress and our guest mattress which has no lumps is 3 years old and paid a whole lot less than this one. I called and again and took picutres to the store of the lumps as more have come to surface . After sitting in a very quiet discussion and me saying most not any resolve at the end. I know they want to sell me a more expensive set I can't afford. I was told this mattress is known to do this and not warrantied by the manufacturer. So I have a lumpy bed with very little sleep time on it as we have to sleep in a guest room for rest. My old mattress was just old not lumpy. I wish I could post a picture here for you to see. Read moreWe walked in the front door and was hit with a sewage odor. It appears the store has a sewage vent leak or breakage as the odor was exceptionally strong. We looked at some very nice recliners and sofas but also realized it would take several weeks to air out anything we bought there. Before leaving we asked questions about the construction of a couple pieces of furniture and was told what they had was what consumers want now. The brand we bought 18 years ago had lowered their standards but that's "what consumers want now." I told the older man that that was not true with me as I too am a consumer. Sorry I will not go back there until they fix the sewer problem. Fabric absorbs odors and it is extremely hard to get rid of the stink. Don't want it...
