Sport Card Center — Local services in Ontario

What a great little shop. I had the chance to stop by when visiting from Utah and purchase some Magic: The Gathering boosters and had a great chat with the owner. He was very knowledgeable about the upcoming game releases (for Pokémon, too!) and even though he may focus more on sport cards and other collectibles, he seemed just as excited as I was for the soon-to-be released stuff for the games I was interested in. He seriously was an absolute joy to speak with and provided great service. The prices were very reasonable as well and fell right in that sweet spot of making you feel like you were getting a good deal while also feeling like you were helping to support your local game store by keeping it in business.

There are only two reasons I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5: 1) While it’s a small location, I think the usage of the available space could be optimized, perhaps by giving more space to items relevant to the business and less to things that felt seemingly random, like copies of DVDs and other trinkets that didn’t seem to fit what the customer base might be looking for. A great approach would be to check the books, see what sells the least, and reduce the amount of space those items take up to make more room for whatever sells the most.

2. Processing payment took a little longer than expected. I didn’t mind too much, since I was having a good conversation but I could see that (roughly) 5-minute process being frustrating for other customers who are in a hurry. Perhaps adopting options to pay with one of the many mobile apps like Square is the next step this business can take to modernize a bit more.

All that being said, I absolutely plan on visiting this business again when I head...

Bought a Blooming waters Premium collection box for 144 bucks and didn’t think much of it because bought things from this shop before when I payed and open the box I noticed that on one end of the Box it has more glue than usual when I open the packs just to verify I wasn’t being delusional I didn’t get a singular hit and one pack had a trainer on the front of one singular pack I came back to the shop to tell and show the owner what had happened and he seemed quite nervous when I told him that what had happened and he denied that the product was resealed. I recommend to not buy anything from the shop. It hurts because I trusted this shop never again loss 144 bucks but learned a lesson never trust anyone even nice small business owners you never know. It doesn’t let me answer your messages but I went to Pro Souls and the agreed that they blooming was 100% resealed nothing of bad luck all what I showed proves that the product was tampered like it or not this isn’t my first experience on...

They have a little bit of everything here, sports cards, coins, pokemon, video games, coins, movies, etc. Owner was super nice, open and honest about everything we chatted about. Definitly worth the drive off 84 if you're passing through, at least once! I will note options are somewhat limited as they cater so many hobbies, but prices are reasonable from...
