I just moved to the state from cross country a few months ago. I Basically threw a dart at a map near Los Angeles and Ended up in the Chino area. My youngest dog unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer right after arriving and departed the world 3 weeks Ago with the most compassionate vet that I have ever met Dr Servantez with Paw and hand. I was awaiting my dog's ashes to be returned and walking my surviving dog at about 6 o'clock in the morning when I thought I found a dead rat on the neighbor step. Then I realized it was breathing and then I realized it was a kitten a cold wet muddy newborn kitten. With absolutely no knowledge of the area I texted Dr S And ask her what do I do where do I take it and she immediately told me ARC Where I believe she volunteers her services as a veterinarian at times. I called and they told me that they do not have the ability to take neomates they do not have 24 hour staff that can do that right now and I blurted out well I'll foster it I just don't know how and don't have the resources. The wonderful receptionist on the other end told me they'll provide everything they'll educate me anything and everything that I need they will provide just bring the kitten in for a medical evaluation and to sign some paperwork. So we did. As I was stepping out to the car to get my drink while the kitten was being evaluated I overheard this same receptionist mention another newborn kitten found in my same apartment complex and I knew it was a sibling I wrote on a post it note I'll take the sibling and foster it too. A lovely couple brought in the second kitten and we're thrilled to know that it was coming home just a block away and they can visit. So I left with 2. I arrived home walked my dog again and spent about an hour looking for any additional kittens or possibly mama. But absolutely no luck I went inside and my phone rang it was arc Asking if I would be willing to take to Newborn kittens from a different litter that are we're about 24 hours Older and could be in the same kennel. I said yes And returned to pick up the 2 new kittens so now I have 4. I arrive home At 6 everybody gets bad settled in And I walk my dog for a bedtime And I noticed a group of children clustering in the bushes And knew immediately they found another kitten. So now I have 5 kittens and I am returning to ARC an approximately an hour for them all to be checked out including the newest addition who appears to have club feet and Mommy cat who we believe we located and is a kitten with a prolapse so the kittens may have just been falling out of her and she did not know what to do. As I was leaving On Sunday they were walking the dogs and playing with them not just taking them into the grass but walking them around the block doing Tuummy rubs jumps plays etc. The Really do seem to care but they are very new and they need a lot of help. They need fosters and Volunteers desperately especially if you have grooming skills or just want to play with a puppy. In August 2025 all adoption fees Are waved and include first vaccinations spay or neuter and a micro chip Totally free as part of clear the shelter event. There is an absolute GLUT Of kittens Right now I counted 5 cats over the age of 15 weeks out of perhaps 50. So I beg of you people please fix your cats fix your community cats if you can afford to do so sponsor TNR funding and vote for the legislation to make it mandatory to fix your pets it makes medical sense. Please consider opening your home to a foster they have multitudes of programs where Trial a pet for 30 days in home to see if your match. Please take it advantage of one of these opportunities and help support this local immensely supportive...
Read moreI have called twice about loose dogs in my business park they've been out for 2 months now and the lady told me they would do nothing about it because they want their owner to find them and it's better if they're out running so they can be reunited. What kind of people are you that you would allow this? Aren't you supposed to pick them up so someone can find them or get adopted? I was so appalled that's what they told me. I posted pictures everywhere online. I've seen other people post pictures of them. Yet they are still here in the Mission Grove business park really busy streets here too. I don't know what good this...
