The food was great don’t get me wrong, but one thing that bothered me is what I witnessed when I was there. I don’t post reviews because I can just recommend to my friends and they can do it, but I came on here because I felt that I had to post this cause I kept thinking about it late at night. I think it was Saturday that this young girl walks in straight to the kitchen then comes out a few seconds later and starts talking to the chef, and I didn’t mean to eavesdrop till I saw the look on her face. I thought at first the girl was his daughter but it turns out she was a client, she’s the one that bakes the alfajores. From what I could hear over my tables conversation is that he was taking the credit of her work and she didn’t know that, and her family had told her, it seems like it really hurt her from the look in her eyes although she put on a smile. At the end it seemed that he wasn’t going to buy anymore and she left without saying much. If anyone knows her or sees her again please comment, I’d love to order from her, the alfajores were great just like the food and I’d like to enjoy both! Anyways other than that I’d recommend the lomo dish it was really good and the meat was tender, not tough or chewy just right! I’d defiantly go back at least once a month to enjoy...

As a proud Peruvian, I was excited to hear from family that a new Peruvian restaurant had opened nearby—and I had to try it for myself. I placed a takeout order around 7:45 PM on a Sunday, and despite arriving close to closing time, the staff welcomed me warmly with a fresh, hot meal ready to go.

The restaurant was in the process of closing and cleaning for the next day—mopping and sanitizing—but still had a lively, welcoming atmosphere, with customers happily finishing their meals. As a business owner myself, I really appreciated their professionalism and cleanliness.

Now, onto the food—my lomo saltado was absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned, tender meat, fluffy rice, and just the right balance of spices. To top it off, they even had Diet Inka Kola for those of us who need our fix!

This place is a gem, and I’ll definitely be supporting this small business...

It’s been a while since we had good Peruvian food . One of our chef friends recommended Picante to us. They open at 10:30am. We didn’t have breakfast so we were pretty hungry by the time we arrived at 11am. The interior is simple and quaint with cool murals on the wall when you enter. We shared the Anticuchos de corazon to start. It was my first time having it but with the way the season and grill it, I just thought it was steak . We both got our ā€œgo toā€ Peruvian dishes; Lomo Saltado for me and Tallarin Verde con Lomo for my husband . We ate every last bit of our food, so delicious. Service was also super friendly. They’re going to be opening a second location featuring Peruvian chicken in Upland so we’re super excited for that. Can’t wait… šŸ˜

Amazing ! Was told about this hidden gem by a family member . The food is delicious, very authentic Peruvian cuisine. Freshly made to order , you can tell quality ingredients. Super friendly staff willing to guide you to a perfect dish that suites you , Very clean and modern location . Portion sizes are more then average and price per dish are very well priced . Oh don't forget to grab a Inca Cola or Chicha morada to wash down your meal ! Differently deserving of 5 🌟 all the way , would highly recommend. Can wait to visit again and try everything on the menu .
