You won't get lost, and getting from check-in to your gate is usually a breeze. Signage is clear and straightforward. Fast Security (Usually): TSA lines at ONT are generally much shorter than at larger airports like LAX. While it can get busy during peak times, I've rarely spent more than 15-20 minutes in security. TSA PreCheck is a definite bonus here. Friendly Staff: From the gate agents to the restaurant staff, I've generally found the employees at ONT's Terminal 2 to be friendly and helpful. There's a noticeable "smaller airport" vibe, which often translates to a more relaxed and personable experience. Southwest Efficiency: If you're flying Southwest (which is highly likely in this terminal), you know what to expect. The airline's operations here are generally smooth, and the boarding process is usually efficient. Can Get Crowded: Because Southwest dominates this terminal, it can get very crowded during peak travel times, especially around the Southwest gates. Finding a seat near your gate might be a challenge. Limited Amenities: Beyond the basics, there aren't many extra amenities. Don't expect a fancy lounge (unless you have access to a specific airline lounge), a children's play area, or extensive business services.
