Gateway Deli & Cafe — Restaurant in Ontario

We Gateways decided to try this deli grill inside the Gateway Seminary.

We parked incorrectly so we had to walk all around to get inside the main entrance. The front had a water fountain and live ducks swimming. They also had chairs and tables outside for you to look at the scenery. It was very peaceful.

The menu had breakfast, salads and sandwiches. I had their chicken panini combo with a choice of salad, pototoe salad. They also had flat bread, cold or hot sandwiches. The chicken panini was hot. The bread was toasted and fresh. ITh e sandwich is large including the salad. Drink is either self served or bottle drinks.

Honey had their pastrami sandwich combo. It was great. When I come back, I will try something else.

Food is always good. Everytime I have come the employees are spot on how they make the food. Absolutely 10s across the board for food preparation and presentation.

But i have to disagree with most posts i have read. I have never seen a friendly employee or an outgoing one. I also have never had a rude or mean employee also. To me they do their job and follow the script and no excitement. It may be they are just working hard to get out. I normally come between 2 and 3pm.

First time here got a coupon and said free sandwich, didn't read buy one get one free. Okay so while here ordered Tuna Melt. My favorite sandwich and I got a tuna sandwich on toasted bread. That is not a Tuna Melt. No cheese, has lettuce and tomato, not a Tuna Melt. First impressions are strong. Not impressed or wishing to go back.
