As a concerned father who is paying good money to send my daughter to be challenged and educated in the medical field and ACC was so eager to sign her up and made many promises.

I would highly recommend that prior to enrolling yourself or a family member that you read the YELP comments and the other reviews, I wish I had done my DD before sending my daughter here. Even if I had read reviews I may have sent her here after the counselor had hyped up this program ?

Some teachers are as described in some of these reviews also on YELP(rude ,self centered and not educated enough to be teachers). My daughter is so worried about my expenses she is making herself sick, all because a so called teacher is not qualified in any scope of this profession. They do not understand stress or have the ability to cope with students that are eager to learn. A power point is visual aid not a teacher, teachers not adhering to the schools dress code or standard operating procedures (TEXTING DURING CLASS) is very disrespectful to the students and schools reputation for being professional. The students are just that STUDENTS not teachers or infants to be babysitted.

We have reached out to the counselors and administrators to look into this and help themselves as well as the student's. The staff needs to figure out where they need improvement and listen to the students ,they are the ones looking for the education and are expecting ACC to support them as they promised when the students agreed to be ACC students.

My hope is to help this situation by encouraging all students and family members to post reviews to help both the ACC members and future students decide if this is the direction they want to take.

I plead with the ACC team to stop and put yourselves in your students positions, they want to be here they want the education they want to succeed they want your help. What is it that ACC wants? Money,quota,low graduates or a reputable college course that all can be proud of and the industry will recognize as the best medical college in town? Please understand we where all students once and what we learned has made us who we are,please do not take advantage of our youth they are our future. You never know one of these students may be tasked to help you or someone you love and if they fail will this be because they were not properly educated?

Make sure all your vaccines are up to Date, make sure you know your dosage calculations. You need sometype of medical background to attend any nursing school. The teacher do what their being told and how to teach but no one is going to waste their time with you to help you because those who have no medical backgroubd are the once falling behind. All the administration is bad. Especially financial aid. You aren't being told all the requirements that u need before siging any docs.... and guess what u will lose ur seat and start all over again and it's not guaranteed u will get another seat. The math tutoring dont work at all! Dont waste ur time if ubdont know ur dosage. I had to teach my self. The tutores are the worst. U cant even see the screen when their "teaching u" if u didnt compli with what they asked and ur grades for each class is below 95% u will be dropped. What it is you are told in portions what u need to compli with to start this course onces u singed and went to orientation and u been here for god who knows how many weeks...(once the bill went up) The students that make it have some type of medical background. No one is going to help u. I was believed humiliated and mistreated by some of those staff. You think you go there to be taught? Something new that you've never done and you start a new school, because you want to do it with this trade that you're looking forward to doing for years when you're excited, but let me tell you something with some of the instructors will belittle you and humiliate you. The whole time I was in that course felt like I was walking in eggshells, and if you complain you're just making yourself a target. I don't recommend you go to this. When you go to the office to look for answers Nobody knows who or what to do. They treated me was very awful. For my age and my experience in life I have never been treated this way anywhere. I coming here calls me depression, And lost of confidence. They're not gonna care they're gonna want you pay.Whatever you need to pay them, they treated you or mistreated you.They do not care they just want...

I have very mixed feelings here, I had revolving teachers in my evening medical billing and coding and a sub, Mrs Ortiz which I have the upmost respect for she pulled it out of the ballpark in her short time being there and I really appreciate her trying to catch the class up to a level we should have been at by the point she took over. To say the least I feel that we did not get a total credible education that we signed up for. I was extremely disappointed at my externship because I am an older person and I expressed my desire to make sure that I was out an exterran to hire site, yes there's no guarantees in life but when you're put at one to say the least was flaky in my opinion I didn't even have a fighting chance and since I didn't realize this at first and by the time I did it was too late.

And as far as the career center helping you job search they do indeed, they send you links for Craigslist indeed, monster and occasionally they throw in an inside connection that has never worked out in any shape or form for me. Either there was a hiring freeze or something or another. I can do that type of job search I thought it would been a lot more in-depth than I've received. Of course I brought this to the attention of Mrs. Horn, Naomi and Diane and although they scrabbled to please me by offering me the same substandard curriculum for job development, I decided it would be a waste of my time. What I need was more time out in the field but the declined stating since I fished the program that would not be an option.
