The spa gets 4-5 stars for the massage therapists but 1-2 stars for the owner of the spa. I’ve been going there for 2 yrs and have been gifting family and friends their certificates for the 1-hour full body massage and the 1-hour foot massage. I place a 20% tip with the gift certificates so that whoever goes doesn’t have to worry about it unless they choose to give more. Recently I heard that they were telling their customers that they weren’t tipping enough… I went today for a massage and I took my mom (she used the certificate I gifted her a few mths ago)… I wanted to give a 20% tip and my mom wanted to give her person more. The owner told me I wasn’t giving enough. I told her she was being rude and that it was very distasteful to tell paying customers how much tip to give. I tried to give the massage therapist the money and she snatched it from him and only allowed him to receive $10 (I was trying to give him $13 because the massage wasn’t as great as other times I’ve gone)… She then told my mom she wasn’t allowed to give her massage therapist $15 because we weren’t giving the same tip to the 2 different workers we had. So basically, it didn’t matter if my mom was more pleased with her massage than I was.. she was more concerned that we weren’t giving the same tip. She said that one would be sad he got less and the other happy he had more. Then proceeded to tell me other people tip $20 for the $55 massage we had. It’s unfortunate for her that I won’t be returning or recommending anymore. (I also told her that we referred patients there and even gifted them certificates prior to finding this out about her).. that still didn’t stop her from being rude and passive aggressive when I told her it was very distasteful of her to...
Read moreVERY CLEAN, FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, AND SKILLED! I went here for the first time today on a friend’s recommendation. I called ahead of time (around 1pm on a Friday), and they said they could take me right away for a 90 minute full body massage. When I walked in I was greeted by the woman at the desk, which was protected by a plastic sheet. She was very friendly and gave me a squirt of hand sanitizer before ushering me through the next door and to the massage area. Everything looked very clean and orderly, and the place smelled great. She showed my to my massage room which had a wide comfy massage bed and a curtain for privacy. She first sanitized the headrest area with a spray, then asked me what exactly I was looking for and how much time I would like spent on each body area. I really liked that bc often these types of spas don’t really ask, you just “get what you get”. She also asked what kind of pressure i was looking for (i.e. hard, medium, gentle). I prefer hard massages, so she asked if I minded if a male masseuse did it. I did not mind at all. And i’m glad bc he was amazing!! The pressure was perfect and he found my problem areas immediately. He respected my privacy and was very professional. I had a great experience and will definitely be...
Read moreI had a 60 minute “reflexology” foot treatment. It was basically a foot and calf massage. Definitely not reflexology just a massage. Also, they use timers. Most massage facilities that use timers usually turn off the timer when it rings and massage for a bit longer - not the case.
The most disappointing part was when I paid. I gave a 25 percent tip and was told it was not enough and that next time I should give more. I will not be back. This was above and beyond poor...
