The Lab Burger Co. — Restaurant in Oradell

Found out recently about this burger joint, decided to give it a try this weekend. There’s parking lot at the rear side of the restaurant, but st parking is available too. Entrances are on both front and rear too. There are no tables to dine in, only take outs and delivery available. The menu is pretty concise, mainly burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, sides, drinks and milkshakes.

I was surprised to see the variety of hot dogs they serve. I was very curious to try the DC and Chicago dogs, both tasted outstanding. Hot dogs are huge, full of ingredients, taste delicious with the bun. I also tried their tree (veggie) and Hawaiian burgers. Tree burger wasn’t very tasty, the paddy started to get all messed up when I bit into the burger. The Hawaiian was decent. IMO, their hot dogs are much better than the burgers. Will certainly stop by here when I crave for hot dogs. I also ordered the sweet potatoes fries, which came out really dark aka borderline burned. I hope they cook the sweet potatoes fries for less time.

This was my second time at the lab. First time was really good so tonight I figured I would get dinner for the wife and myself. My wife’s meal was good. I ordered a cheesesteak when I got home and bit into it. I knew something was wrong I open the sandwich up and the steak was at least a quarter grizzle and fat. I called the burger lab back and said I was coming in to return the sandwich and I ordered a southern chicken sandwich instead when I got back I told them and showed them the sandwich. It was substandard and there was no cheese. It was either the owner or the manager she said to me you have to order it with cheese I said well I did and I said what about the fat on the steak? It was terrible, they refunded my money for the one sandwich and didn’t charge me for the chicken sandwich which I thought was really more than fair but the woman I spoke with who I would assume is either the manager or the owner needs a lesson in dealing with customers, A simple apology from her would’ve made a big difference she was not apologetic one bit and should probably take an online course in...

My office decided to order burgers from here, I ordered the Tree hugger. Right before I went in for a bite of the veggie burger every corner splattered into the box, looking like guacamole and tasting like it was just pulled from the freezer. I've been a Vegetarian for 6 years and this veggie burger wasn't the worst i've ever had but it definitely wasn't the best. I was disappointed and I had to order food from a different restaurant. Everyone in the entire office had a serious complaint about their order, from the chicken sandwich's tasting super bland/freezer chicken to the beef burgers being extremely undercooked. One of my coworkers had to throw the beef burger into the trash due to the burger being super under cooked, basically raw meat in the middle of the burger. Everyone agree the bread and lettuce was the only thing that tasted decent. Lab burger owns the pizza shop next door and the pizza is great. Far as Lab Burger they definitely need to take some time to go back into the lab to study and recreate better...
