I really want to like this place, but the owner makes it hard. I love the gluten free bagels and wraps, the other workers are so nice and there is a good selection of food. I come to this place only when I have errands in Oradell, I usually go to Dumont Hot Bagels. They are supposed to close at 4, one day I got there a little before 3:30 and the owner told me the grill was closed. So I asked for a sandwich, he said he put the cold cuts away, he rudely said to pick from what was already pre-sliced. I walked out, called Dumont, who also closed at 4, and they made my order while I went to pick it up. The 2 times he waited on me, he messed up a simple egg sandwich and coffee. One day I was eating and he had an altercation with a young guy who apparently goes there all the time, but didn't happen to buy anything that day. Although I agree that on a busy Saturday he shouldn't be taking up a table, the way the owner handled it was unprofessional. The kid wasn't giving the guy a hard time because he asked him to leave, he was upset because the way the owner touched/grabbed him. The kid was polite, but the owner was ready to fight him, a spectacle for all the customers to see. This owner needs to learn people skills when having his...
Read moreThis is such a nice place and it’s sad to give it one star, but this is what happens when you have an entire staff with no customer service etiquette. If it happened once I wouldn’t bother leaving a bad review, but it has happened to me 3 times! The lady behind the counter, especially, is extremely rude and if she makes the order wrong she’ll accuse you of not saying it. “You didn’t say that!” It’s how she goes. When I tried speaking to her co worker, he instead chooses to argue with me. To re-make a simple bagel with cream cheese would’ve cost them a small time plus maybe .50 cents, but instead repetitive ignorance and disrespect cost them a customer and a bad review. The bagels are dry and hard anyways, I do...
Read moreTook a 3-year hiatus from this place because they kept forgetting to add SPK to my breakfast bagel sandwich. I was in the area and decided to stop by because I really liked the steak egg and cheese bagel sandwiches when I used to go here. They stayed consistent by leaving the salt, pepper, and ketchup off AGAIN even after I said it twice to the person taking my order and the person that made my sandwich and rang my order up even confirmed that it included the toppings. Additionally, I ordered coffee with just milk and the order was repeated back to which I confirmed. I didn't try my coffee until after I left but it was very sweet as if alot of sugar was added. I think I'm giving up on this...
