Beach Village Resort by Liquid Life Vacation Rentals — Local services in Orange Beach

This was a wonderful resort. We loved the lazy river, the spacious pool, the easy check in and out and the exquisite appointments of unit 30, Whim by the Beach.

The few workers we encountered were friendly, helpful and professional.

The village is just off the beach but we had no trouble in making the short walk. And up until 5 PM, they will shuttle you across the road within steps of the roomy sands. The shuttle took all of about 2 minutes (if that) to get to our room for our ride. The lady driving was very friendly and cheerful.

As for Unit 30, it has a screened in back porch that we enjoyed when the temps allowed. It is not private as others can look directly across at you but that didn't bother us at all. The porch, with its gliding Adirondack chairs, looks out over the state park and at approaching clouds from the north which we found soothing when a bit of rain moved in.

There is a half bath downstairs and two upstairs off of each bedroom. The beds were firm but comfortable and each bedroom has a TV although we couldn't find a remote for one of them and the batteries were gone out of the other. But the amenities were such at the resort that we didn't miss those at all. But your youngsters might.

Other comments:

The resort is only steps away from an outstanding fresh seafood market and we would definitely recommend purchasing your favorites there and enjoying them in the wonderful eating areas of unit 30. For a group, you will not only come out cheaper but it will be a tremendous meal right from your oven and can be sampled at a delightful table or island within the unit.

Parking is free for two vehicles and your vehicle will be just off the front porch.

As for some comments about WIFI issues, we had no trouble with the wired-in Smart TV nor with a laptop. There was some buffering with one of our streaming devices but not enough to be a serious issue.

The resort also has access to the state park and it is a wonderful place to take a hike.

The resort is gated and felt very safe.

We found the price to be more than reasonable.

The washer and dryer provided came in handy.

My family and I had stayed at this resort and for the most part we had an excellent time. However, there were a few things that we were disappointed by. On my original email it stated that check in was at 3PM and in another email it stated that check in was a 4PM. When I had called regarding this she did say that she could see that it said 3PM and that, that was an error on their end. We were already at the property and were told that there was nothing that could be done because the unit was not ready yet. Very fair and we understood. However as we sat out front of the property for an hour with our 3 kids not one person ever cleaned the property. When we called again 15 minutes until 4 another lady answered and said that the property was finished being cleaned and that she wasn't sure why we were told it wasn't ready. Then as we entered we noticed that there was two fridges inside. There was no mentioned as to why there was two fridges anywhere. I was thinking that maybe one was smaller and a previous guest had requested two? After unloading groceries we noticed that the main fridge was not keeping the food cold at all. So I assume that the fridge was broken? It would of been nice to have transparency as to what was going on. We also noticed that our parking pass had the wrong checkout date. I reached out and mentioned this to them. They said we are sorry, that is our error and requested that I drive 10 minutes to their office to get a new one. We wanted to begin our vacation not worry about errors made on the management part. Our property also was never very clean. It was picked up, but we found hairs and dust by the vanities in the bathroom, splatter marks of food on the cabinets, and the floors did not look like they had been cleaned from the previous guests. All in all we looked past these things and had a great family vacation to Orange Beach. However, if I were to book another vacation to Orange Beach, I would choose...

We are actually on our way back home as I type this review.

This resort exceeded our expectations. The condos and property were very well managed and taken care of. We stayed in lala land with its private cabana. I wish the cabana would have been closer to the house or in a different spot closer to the pool but other than that zero complaints. Everything in the resort was clean, it had everything we needed for a week stay.

They had daily activities which were also fun for the kids and the adults. We did yoga by the pool, movie night with popcorn and I was able to get a permanent bracelet because they had a pop up event with someone there to do them.

We enjoyed it so much we didn’t want to leave and tried to book another night but it wasn’t allowed as there is a 2 night minimum (kind of annoying being as we were there for so long already but it is what it is)
