Worse experience Iāve had on family vacation. The room we book and had email confirmation for was double booked. My 2 moth old, my 5 year old and my wife set in the hallway after 7 hours of traveling waiting to hear from Meyer vacation rental. After 45 minutes and lots of calls made by us they let us in until they āfigure it outā. The room was so dirty. Pubic hair on the sink, floor covered in food and hair. Fish ājuiceā in the freezer that was so bad you couldnāt stay in the kitchen. The refrigerator not cleaned as well. Table or counters were not wiped down. Lots lots more. They didnāt believe us so they sent someone to verify. After verifying just how bad it was they said they can send housekeeping but it would be around midnight. Keep in mind I have a 5 year old and 2 month old and we arrived at 7:50. They didnāt have or offer any solutions. I refused to wait because my family needed sleep. After pushing they finally put us in a single bedroom. Same situation plus blood on bed in this one. Wr ended up going to Holiday Inn for the night because they were no help because management said they would have to figure out something in the morning. I guess they wanted us to sleep in a really dirty room or our suv. Next morning we had to keep calling to get answers because our checkout time in Holiday Inn was nearing. 9:45 and over a dozen calls I found a condo with another company. We asked for our money back and a reimbursement for Holiday Inn. 7-10 businesses days for the refund and almost have for the Holiday Inn. Not sure what would have happened if I let...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOkay, if I could I would rate it 2.5, not quite a 3, but better than a 2. There are positives and negatives. Positives include: spacious rooms, a two bedroom unit can easily house 6 people; nice selection of pools, indoor and outdoor, very nice sauna and steam room, snack machine in the pool area; the property is directly on the beach; the appliances, generally, are of good quality; washer and dryer; TVs in each bedroom (24") and the main room(36"). Room does not need a key, as their is a key pad on the door. About the negatives, I'm not fully accustomed to renting from owner, so that may be coloring my opinion: sheets were thin and worn through (one had small holes and an actual rip), the bed spread was old and frayed (see pictures), there was a coffee machine, but no filters, so had to buy a package (smallest was 100!) of filters; no dishwashing liquid, dishwasher was faulty (did not release the dish soap package), so couldn't actually wash dishes; no blankets were provided; no beach towels for pool or beach use, limited toilet paper; no tissues. So, if you're driving to the unit, and you knew all of this, you could bring all the things you might need. However, if you're flying across the country to visit, you should probably get a hotel where all the amenities are provided (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, blankets, more than two pillowcases, salt and pepper in the kitchen,...
