When I first started attending these sales there was no "handicapped" placard for handicapped people to park. I called "Corporate" and in about 2 months there was finally one there. I have been attending "tag sales" for over 40 years and have never seen numbers given out and related they way this "company" does. Usually the sales starts at 9:00 and the numbers are given out at precisely 8:00. You have to there about 15-20 minutes to get one of the 1st numbers. This sale, they give the numbers out at 7:40 or just whenever, then most people leave and come back. And then they open the doors way before 9:00. The latest one I attended there was a bench to sit down on, and two people were already sitting down. I got out of my vehicle and a woman (that cold clearly "walk") sat in between the other two persons leaving me no where to sit. Other people noticed I could stand up very long, but the 3 people that were seated were too inconsiderate to get up and offer their seats. The entire "idea" of giving out numbers is to allow the first "however many people" to go in first, until "however many people" came out, then that many people could/can go in. This sale there is no point in even getting a number after a certain point everyone just rushes in behind the others. I have called the Treasurer's office to find out what the definition of "handicapped" is, and it usually someone that can't walk more than 50', but I can't walk at all. By the time I got back to the sale on Saturday July 13th, about 8:45 the handicapped parking space was already take up by someone that "could" walk, they were just overweight and I know that is why they had the handicapped placard hanging from their...
Read moreNeeded to hire a company to take care of a very large problem for me..... Downsizing and moving to a new location 1500 miles away. As one of my neighbors was cleaning out his home I got the chance to meet and find out about a business I knew very little about. Well, let me tell you, having the opportunity to meet Kerri, the owner and operator of Caring Transitions of NE Iowa I learned a ton of information. I said if I was ever in a situation that required me to downsize or move to another location absolutely no question who I would hire!!! They handle every aspect of your move or project! From, taking your unwanted stuff to charitable organizations, to selling your things that you're not in need of any longer on an online auction or onsite auction, to packing your belongings to be loaded and transported halfway around the country. Amazing staff, personable and never worry about the job being done right! I've moved about 5 times in my career and this by far has been the best way I've ever handled this move and I have Kerri and Caring Transitions to thank for this. They even can handle the arrangement of getting you a moving company to transport you to any location. I would highly recommend you take the time to meet her and let her explain her business and experience in making this part of your life a lot...
Read moreA wonderful testimonial that was sent to us from a recent client! Thank you Ron!
The Caring Transitions of Northeast Iowa, and owner Kerri Shimp, did an excellent job helping me close out my Uncle’s Estate by conducting an Estate Sale on the household furnishings and other items. They walked us through the process providing a very thorough detail of how the sale would be handled, what happens to left over items and what the costs and commissions would be. They removed all items from the house and even cleaned up afterwards which is not something we had expected them to do. Once the items made it to their warehouse they then sorted and cleaned all the items that were put up for sale. They were courteous, professional and kept us continuously updated throughout the process. The sale was held in a timely manner and did not take weeks or months from cradle to grave. Handled in a very timely manner with fair prices assigned to the items by them.
Everything they said would happen did and there were no hidden secrets. I would recommend them to everyone. I recommend you listen to what they have to offer and you always have the option to say no but I am confident you will join in partnership with them. We give them 5 stars and were completely satisfied with their organization...
