I will give two stars only because the shaping is very good. I went to Mellie back in March for microblading. There was a blonde woman she was training who took me in the back initially. As she was going over options, she showed me her own eyebrows that Mellie did months back and I thought they looked ridiculous, dark and paint like. I should have walked out the door then! They talked me into some other 3D option for another 100.00. Of course, I accepted totaling 650.00. I have many friends whom have had positive effects from microblading and all go to NYC to get it done. Their skin tone and hair color ranges from super light to dark. I have strawberry blonde hair which I wanted to match like my eyebrows. Mellie and her husband apparently "make" their own ink and I was hesitant when I was told she only had a handful of colors (maybe 5 in total) when in NYC they have hundreds of tones. When she showed me the lightest color she had, I told her I thought it was too dark. She insisted that I must go a bit darker because the results would fade. I again pushed back and was pressured and assured it would "look great!" What a stupid mistake! It is now the end of September and I STILL look absolutely ridiculous with strawberry hair and DARK BROWN eye brows!!!!!!!! Absolutely awful! I should have gone with my gut. For those with darker complexions and hair colors, I can see why so many people love her work. But for mine, I have to say I could not be anymore disappointed. I need to spend so much more time in the morning covering them up with makeup and they still look terrible. I will post some photos later on. I first had my eyebrows microbladed in August of 2016. From the start, Mellie's warm and friendly, positive energy made me feel at ease. Mellie spent plenty of time constructing a shape that was perfect for my face and she made sure I was comfortable with the shape before proceeding. She explained, in detail, the entire microblading process and all the after care steps and do's and don't's, and was willing to answer every question I had. I was so comfortable throughout the entire process and walked out with a new found confidence.

Fast forward to March of 2018, and my brows are still looking as beautiful as ever! I have seen Mellie for only three touch ups (the first being mandatory and the others being maintenance in February 2017 and January 2018). Every visit, Mellie dedicates the time to continuing to perfect both the shape and color of my brows.

I cannot say enough great things about her work, and about the person that she is. She is so talented and so passionate about what she does, and it shows. More importantly, she genuinely cares about her clients. I always look forward to my appointments with Mellie, and the chance for us to catch up. I am so grateful to have found her!
