Work 'N Gear — Local services in Orange

I just left the orange store. I was walking throughout the store and was not acknowledged by staff until everyone else was out the store. When I finally had someone to help it appeared as though I was bothering him by asking too many questions about the different selections. I went into the store around 3:30-3:45 pm and was told at 4:25 pm that the store closes at 4:00 pm and I can no longer pick out any more uniforms to try on. I immediately at the time apologized and went to the front to purchase the three items I had selected. I did want much more. When told the price of my items I had to pull out my wallet in which my work badge is attached, he then wanted to start small talk and ask “oh you don’t have to wear the same color scrubs as before when you work in the hospital as a nurse ?” I said I don’t know as I don’t work as a hospital nurse. I then took my clothes receipt, no bag and left. I was so excited to see a work n gear store it is very difficult for me to go to the store and purchase uniforms because of my work schedule. However I will NEVER go to work n gear in orange again to be treated badly. Work n gear...

After a 2nd pair of $200+ Danners failed to last it even a year for me (stitches blowing, leather getting ripped to shreds), I had no interest in coming out of pocket for a pair of boots to hold me over, while I waited for them to fulfill my warranty, just to recieve another pair of boots to die in 6 months. Apparently, they don't Ido refunds for 3rd party sales. That's when I spoke with the people at work'n gear, where I purchased them and quickly they told me they would give me store credit upon return to get a replacement pair of boots (anything but Danners!!!). Thank you, work'n gear!!! I will be coming here for all of my work related needs. Very appreciated!!

Edited. Once I returned to the store to take care of this, I was told by an associate who was speaking to the owner, that there is nothing they can do now. After making a 30 minute trip on my one day off this week. I should have waited it out before I gave the 5 star. I find it ironic that the owner liked this post, while telling the associate not to stand to what they told me. Classy move...

These people are incompetent and don"t know what they are talking about. My husband has a voucher from his job that was given 12/23/22 to get a pair of work boots by 12/31/23. We come on 12/29/23 to get the boots and he refuses to take the voucher stating that the voucher needs to be used within the year its given. That means that you literally have 7 days to use the flipping voucher? That is ridiculous! I am totally at a loss of words at how unreasonable and uneducated the staff is. Worst place ever. They also only have like 6 different types of steel toe boots, the rest are composite or soft toe. Happy New Year to you too. Smh. More like the Grinch who...
