Prince of Orange Mall — Local services in Orangeburg

This poor mall, this mall used to be the hot spot back in the day. Now it's a museum, there seem to be only 8 stores not counting the jewelry places and that's not enough. There used to be an arcade a fountain and a toy store.. They have lost out on so many businesses and I'm not sure why. Maybe the owners of the business have changed but they need to reevaluate what the problem is and fix it. We only have 1 mall and deserve a better place to shop. The stores that are currently there are ok but there are not enough for all the people we have in Orangeburg. Everyone wear the same clothes because there is not much variety. I think it's the only "mall" that has more closed for business stores than actual stores open. I feel bad for the stores that are fighting to hang on. I'd definitely be interested in asking city council exactly why there is store after store opening. New construction at that yet they won't remodel the prince mall to attract more business. Guess it's like how they (despite several millions of dollars loaned to them by the state)can't figure out how to keep a University up and running. Aww the blatant corruption...I wouldn't really care if theyd let me in on the deal. But look at me. LOL. NEVER...

The stores were hot inside. Hot and muggy. The only "cool" (and i say that lightly) is the hallways and food court. The bathrooms were also hot and muggy and LONG over due for a remodel. I feel so bad for all the employees that work at this mall. Y'all could do better for your community. They shouldn't be working in "hell"... Literally. Either take care of this mall or close it down. I'm not from around here, only stopped by so my family could stretch their legs. I will choose some other place and i do NOT recommend going to this mall... Unless...
