Brief Summary: Great course with great amenities, but overpriced. Let me explain!
Course Review: The course is gorgeous - On the coast, great views, great layout, challenging pin placements, and tee boxes that accommodate everyone of all skill levels.
However, the conditions of some of the course is average at best, with some fairways waterlogged, brown, and 40% of the tee boxes hardly maintained enough for you to consider it a “tee box”. Keep in mind I am comparing this course’s conditions to other course conditions that are around the same price point around $110-$150 for 18 holes; and overall it is sub par. I will say, the greens are great. They are pure and roll quick. But like I said before, the views are gorgeous, I just wish the conditions were better.
Amenities Review: Free tees, free warm up range balls, and free coffee with the green fee price you pay. There is a small locker room off to the side that you can use that has shaving cream, razors, and other personal maintenance items.
A thing to note - there is an on course bathroom after hole 4 I believe, that is absolutely disgusting. It’s not maintained whatsoever and can be compared to a public gas station bathroom you would find in downtown Portland.
Cart Review: The carts themselves are great. They’re electric and go quick. All of them also come with a cart cover that is useful when it gets windy. Again being nit picky, I do wish the carts had GPS attached to them. For the price point that this course is at, they should come with the GPS feature that shows you which hole you’re on, how far you are away from the pin, etc. I always recommend a rangefinder regardless of whether there is or isn’t a GPS in the cart, but like I said I wish they included them - I’ve been to courses that are around $60 for 18 that have them.
Overall: Course is great, challenging, and has great views. The conditions are mediocre to better than average at best, that should warrant a lower price but nonetheless it is a great course and a course that I...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews, but felt it important to share our experience so other vacationers steer away from this place. We arrived early on 4/15/25 to play 18, as we had already paid in full weeks in advance carts were all we needed to settle up for $88, as we were getting ready to hit the range and warm up the young man at the counter reminded us there was no front nine today..sanding was being done. I exclaimed we were not told of this in advance, and if we didn't want to play the back 9 twice can we be reimbursed for the front 9? we were met with a no can do. After some back and fourth he called for the Pro to help assist us, she said she could make us a voucher for a free round for the inconvenience..Great! we thought that was a more than fair gesture, she said come see me when your done and I will take care of it. So we returned after playing the back 9, the Pro had left, and the rest of the staff had no clue about any compensation for the mix up couldn't help us ( nobody had the ability to) was the answer. Side note the grounds crew rolled the greens, and made us wait to hit several times while mowing ( not bagging) fairways, and hitting up to the green leaving their mower engines still running. For what you pay this is a rip off, and probably the worst golf staff experience we have ever come across ever trust me we have never complained in hundreds of rounds played all over Oregon. The course itself is a potential gem, the management is in need of lessons in customer service badly. Sadly avoid this place until you hear of new management being added. Don't be duped by this place like we were. FYI the two stars are for the course layout and amazing views. Not going to go into the no food or drinks...
Read moreMade a reservation a week ahead of time for a round of 18 holes for 2 people only. When we get there, the staff was very rude, and we ended up getting paired up with another 2 people. For one, we were not informed about that until the Starter said something, right before we were about to tee off on the 1st tee. If we would have known, we would have made reservations somewhere else. Second, there is a pandemic going on!!! Your going to pair up random people together in a pandemic, just to make that money, then say, that's why you have to pair people up, is because of Covid?! Then after deciding not to play in the middle of the first hole, due to being rushed by the Starter, we decided to go get a refund. Not everyone is a perfect golfer, and if you need to find a ball on a busy day, forget about it. You'll probably get yelled at. Then going back to the pro shop to get a refund, not only was the cashier raising his voice at me, but the manager standing right next to him seemed to think this was all okay? They are rude and unprofessional. Unless you have money to just burn, I would strongly recommend golfing somewhere else! Covid is going around, and they seem to think it is non existent. Have fun and stay safe by playing...
