I love, love, love the Orinda Theater! And it breaks my heart to see so few patrons on a Saturday night. Everyone gets up in arms when a theater closes, but are you patronizing them? The Orinda Theater is a great experience: It's a beautiful old theater, the people that work there are friendly, they have a nice variety of food and drinks at the snack bar, and the main theater is gorgeous!
A bonus: if you call the theater they actually answer the phone! I can't even remember the last time I called a theater and someone answered the phone in person.

Read moreThe Orinda Theater has been around since the 1940s, and it's an awesome theater. I'd definitely see a movie here. Now attached to the theater is a small tiki bar called, Boo Loo Tiki Bar. We spoke no words to him and immediately he barked at us as we approached the theatre about the movie being sold out and carrying teas with us, while other people were all around. We understand they would like to protect their concessions but, little did he know, we were going to purchase popcorn and candy when we brought in tea, due to the fact we do not drink soda, and that and sugary drinks is all they offer. I will definitely not be returning to the Orinda...
