I was desperate for a fill since Iām going on a trip and I had a broken nail and I couldnāt get into my normal place. This place had high ratings so I gave it a try. Disappointed to say itās a really bad quality of work. I arrived at 5:45 and waited about 30 minutes. They close at 7, so Iām not sure if by the time they started, they were just in a rush. The man didnāt ask me anything about keeping length and shape the same or not. He just started. I did want to keep it the same, so no big deal, except I feel worse off.
The broken nail that I got replaced doesnāt really match the shape of the others, my left thumb nail is very textured with obvious brush strokes on it, and the other nails are missing color around the edges and cuticle. I pointed this out on the right thumb and he fixed it, but thereās several other nails with the same issue. Not only is the color missing, but the acrylic is as well. You shouldnāt be seeing my natural nail in the spots that you do.
I came in with extensive nail art on my fingers, so obviously Iām not a novice to getting my nails done, I like investing in my nails, and I can tell bad quality work when I get it. Itās a shame. The photos were taken immediately after getting it done.
Update: 3 nails broke within 2 weeks and several chipped, so the quality is just atrocious. Not just me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was visiting friends who lived nearby and came across this business. I needed somewhere close by and able to accommodate a walk in for a basic pedicure (not gel). Based on their reviews, I decided to give them a try. Fortunately for me, they were able to take me within a few minutes. I was greeted immediately upon walking in. I typically like neutral mauve/brown colors and found the selection in that range to be few⦠so I ended up picking something completely out of my comfort zone, which was fine (living a little!). The nail tech that did my pedicure was very nice (I wish I could remember her name, but I canāt! She was petite and had long hair, not Asian). I appreciated her attention to detail and the care she took throughout the process. They have those massage chairs that all salons seem to have these days, but theirs seemed to have more features than I am used to, which is nice if youāre into that. When done, the nail tech offered me to stay in the chair to allow my nails time to dry - they had the light/air dryers at the front, but she didnāt offer for me to use them so I am not sure if they were not working or she just didnāt offer or if I should have asked. Overall, the location felt clean, the service was good and I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI first went here in 2015 and really loved the ambiance of a tropical paradise and the friendliness of staff. I went back recently as I had been away for awhile, and it seemed like the place had really changed. Perhaps new management and the tropical decor had gone. The "tech" I had for a regular mani/pedi did not speak any English and had a very hostile vibe. She acted like she was miserable doing the service and even seemed irrated with me when she messed my toenail up putting a sandal on my foot. She begrudgingly fixed it. She dropped her tools a lot--this continued with the manicure, she seemed to get sloppier and sloppier. She messed up a finger nail, too and did not fix it properly. The day after, my fingernail tips are already chipping. I will go to 1st Princess across the street next time. They don't speak much English either, but seem happier to work there and their results are...
