Pros: Super clean, eye catching environment, comfy seating and great music. The Chinese fried rice was super delish and I wish that would’ve been my entire meal.

Food: Chicken kebabs though huge, were dry and utterly flavorless. No bbq flavor or grilled flavor. The stir fried veggies looked gorgeous and had a butter garlic sauce it had been tossed in, but were so fresh and crispy I couldn’t eat anything but the onion and some of the broccoli. Really sad about that. The mofongo desperately needed salt, but the tostones and garlic butter were tasty.

Service: Dead pan server, never said his name, forgot an item and we had to request salt, napkins and refills. Nothing was ever removed from the table, even after we paid as we finished up.

Time: We came in at 11:30 and were the first ones there, and didn’t get our food until 12:25. And even then we got the kebabs first with no plates, and waited another 8 minutes as the sides began coming out.

Smell: I was super surprised that even as more people came in and food was being prepared, it never smelled like food, oil, smoke, or grill. Kind of weird to not smell ANYTHING of food.

Noise: the music was super loud; it’d be hard for anyone that struggles with focusing to concentrate trying to hear their friend and everything else. I didn’t mind it but my grandmother couldn’t really hear me.

Overall, I loved the vibe and the rice and the portions were large and it was clean, but I don’t see the business staying around unless they do a few things:

-Speed of service needs to pick up

-Get more flavor into the food and don’t overcook your meats

-Servers need a personality or at least be able to smile.

-Turn your music down a touch so people can hear each other talking; not everyone is young.

I’m going to come back a couple more times to try some more food, because if I can find one or two great items I’m fine to deal with the rest as long as I have a free hour to wait on food, and I...

I had eaten here a couple of weeks ago when they first opened and their fried rice was so delicious, I couldn’t wait to return. Unfortunately, the second time was a huge disappointment. My fried rice was bland, had no egg, had very little meat, and was totally different from the one I had the first time, which made me question whether they had changed the recipe. I was told they had not, but that they would let the Chef know, and I had to make do with some extra soy sauce to add flavor. My companion’s Surf and turf Mofongo was an unusual combination of what seemed more like a beef stew with mashed plantains and a few (what seemed to be boiled) shrimp with some garlic on them. The brown beef sauce overpowered the mashed plantains, which on their own were seriously lacking in flavor. We also ordered the chicken skewers which were fine, however I assumed they would be made with chicken breast, but were made with dark meat (my bad for not asking, and the server did not clarify either). They were not served with the bread stated in the menu.

It also took a while for our food to come out apparently because we were on the queue after a large party. When our server asked us how everything was at the end of our meal, we shared most what I mentioned above, and he apologized.

As some other reviewers have said, they have a great concept, but the execution is lacking. This is unfortunate because the concept has great potential if they could focus more on flavor, consistency of execution, more detailed descriptions of the food on their menu, and better server training and understanding of menu items so diners have a clear idea of what they are ordering. I really hate having to leave a negative review, but I believe Coqui Ninja...

I was just there tonight with my spouse, I was so excited to go the atmosphere is great. I was kind of disappointed. My server was not on point. He only came to our table maybe twice one to order want to drop off the food and that was it. We both ordered the Chino rice except I had the fried pork and he had the pepper steak. I expected More only because of the high expectations. Everyone has put on here in the great reviews. I was really disappointed. The food was not that great, the rice was not what I thought it was. My man coming from PR stated this is not the way Chinese Spanish rice taste on the island not even close. The pepper steak had no authentic flavor. It tastes like I ordered pepper steak from a Chinese restaurant bland . The prices were reasonable if the food was great. We both had high expectations and did not have a great time. Everyone taste buds are different. It could’ve been better. The girl that came to our table did ask what was the problem we explained it to her and she said she was gonna notify the owner. I guess they like to hear reviews. She asked if we wanted anything we stated no, but I thought maybe she was going to take a percent off our ticket, but she didn’t even do that. She went back to the table doing her work which again is kind of unprofessional. I don’t know if I would recommend anyone to go here to eat. I don’t know if I would myself come back to eat. I hope they listen to their reviews whether they’re negative or positive and make some changes. Life is a struggle and the last thing that we want is not be able to enjoy our food...

First time trying Asian Latin fusion and it was pretty good!!! We started with rellenos and while I’m not a connoisseur of rellenos, the inside was a bit mushy for me. It could be because of the cheese. But the outside was super crisp and meat was flavorful! I then got the pepper steak and rice with vegetables. The pepper steak was soo good! Not salty, not over cooked and the peppers Wed sliced thinly and not overwhelming. The veggie rice on the other hand had waaay too many onions and not enough of everything else. It also lacked flavor. It was like eating plain rice with veggies. Which to be fair is what it’s described as lol Once I mixed in the sauce from the pepper steak, it tasted better. The tostones with garlic sauce were also super delish! My husband got the boneless spare ribs with the fried rice. It was also super delish! The boneless spare ribs were not overly sweet and were a perfect blend of sweet and savory. His rice was oh so good! Plenty of meat, seasoning and a lot of egg!! He loved the extra egg and it may have been added since he asked for no shrimp in the rice. But we didn’t ask. Just wanted to mention it for those that don’t like too many eggs in their rice. Lastly, their portions were pretty good!! My husband asked for a side of extra rice (because the man can eat!) but didn’t end up needing it and even had leftovers to take home! The bathrooms were clean and the only downfall is that the parking is limited. They’re in a plaza with a barber, chiropractor and med spa. So maybe parking is better when the other businesses close.

The design of this place was great, everything was so cool, the service was great and the atmosphere fun. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that there were some things left to be desired food wise. I had the fresh lemonade with mint, it was almost like a mocktail mojito, and it was delicious!! I ordered the pinchos and they were served on a little mini grill with the fire still running and I thought that presentation was amazing, as well as the flavor of the chicken pinchos. The sides were good too, I had some sweet potato fries and maduros(Sweet plantains) I also ordered the Krab Rangoon's, that's where the 4 stars come from, they were not that good and had a different flavor to them, but were still good enough to eat. My fiancé ordered the pepper steak, it was good but also pretty bland and generic, nothing to give it a standout twist here. Our friend ordered the chicken chicharrones and those were good he enjoyed those. His partner ordered the Kung Pan Mofongo, the portion was hefty!! and the flavor was there, it was definitely spicy and I loved that, the mofongo was a little dry but not to the extent of some bad places we have been to, definitely flavorful, no sauce required to make the mofongo better, which is a good thing. All in all everything was good, service was great, atmosphere was as well. I would be willing to come back and try other things here also as they did have a lot of good looking options on the menu
