One Florida Bank — Local services in Orlando

When I arrived, the exterior door was locked and a sign seemed to indicate that there was another entrance at the side of the building. There isn't. I had hoped to open a checking account but for reasons unexplained I was told there was an overnight delay. Even so, they made a color photocopy of my driver's license at 100%, a clear violation of copyright restrictions mandating all ID color copying be enlarged or reduced. Frankly, uncomfortable with the people at this branch.

Update: I wasn't there to buy a gun which does have a waiting period; and there is no regulation requiring the doors to be kept locked. Banks are not exempt from the laws regarding copying identification. I hope that the personnel at this branch quickly receive the same level of training that I did as assistant internal auditor at a national bank with thirteen branches. Got a business credit card from OneFlorida bank, and not entirely satisfied. 6 mo teaser rate is for the fist 6 billing cycles, but no one could tell me when the date on which the 0% rate expires. It's like they want to trap you in the rate jump. Also, customer service is layered, first the VRU, then an "operator" rep, then finally the customer service rep. Tip: don't give them full SSN, when you get to the customer service rep you can give them last 4; much better security for you! Customer service at One Florida is absolutely amazing. I used to bank at Wells Fargo. The difference between One Florida and Wells Fargo is like comparing a steak at Del Frisco's vs. Applebees. MaryAnne is the manager at the Orange Ave location and she is beyond accommodating. And if you want a business banker who will be hands-on & really become a part of your company, ask for Shane.
