Really disappointed with my first experience. Went to visit some other shops on this same strip and decided to go in here and see what they had. Nothing says “welcome” like being followed around and watched continuously. I couldn’t even take my daughter to use the restroom without having someone checking in. We were never greeted or offered assistance just passively harassed by the owner. When I went to pay, the owner saw I had some hundred dollar bills and quickly yelled that they don’t accept it. She wasn’t checking us out and I had plenty of other bills to use. I don’t understand why she couldn’t allow the person attending us to address it. The store’s merchandise has a cute aesthetic but only about half of the items look worth the cost. The other half (especially in the kids area), are overpriced china-made junk. My daughter purchased a kit with nail polishes that paint so translucent, you’d need the whole bottle to see the color. And I bought a trio of mini candles that smell like nothing when burning. Most of what I saw here I’ve seen in many other stores - same brands and products. Stores like TJMaxx, Target, Marshalls and even my local pet store.
I’d recommend this store to anyone who wants to have a bad day. Otherwise, the rest of this strip was fantastic and made this a fun day out.
To the owner, please don’t bother...
Read moreThis isn't Beverly Hills, California, it's Orlando, Florida. So when I walk into your shop in activewear without make up on, (during a rare moment of retail therapy), I would appreciate it if I wasn't treated like a criminal and followed by the cashiers. There needs to be a more covert way of screening for shoplifting because I feel very judged and repelled away from shopping at the store in the future. I've never felt this way shopping at Primrose in the past, so something must've changed in the recent year or two since I've been. I won't be going back because when a store makes you feel that way, it just gives you major ick. I'm not one to give reviews for less than 4 to 5 stars, but I feel that this one is important because it needs to draw their attention.
This review was going to be 2 stars, but I downgraded it to 1 star after reading the other reviews about some shoppers being treated rudely and being singled...
Read moreStopped in with a friend and had plenty of money to spend. We had planned to purchase many gifts for birthdays as well as using a gift certificate. Unfortunately, surprised to find that the gift certificate for a men’s toiletry kit with NO expiration date would not be honored by the owner. She said they no longer carried the men’s Toiletry Kit and said she had no idea what the value would be and offered zero. So Jennifer, the owner, instead lectured my friend on how she should learn to file her gift certificates even though this one had NO expiration date.
A ten percent discount on something, anything, would have been nice but the firm NO and offer of nothing was a huge turn off to this store and it’s owner.
I have been in the retail business for years and this...
