The owners and staff at S R Hoskins are phenomenal. My husband proposed with a vintage ring from the 1940s he found in an antique shop, but last week, after five years of ownership, the diamond in the illusion top fell out. While I was luckily able to find the diamond, I had no idea how I would get it fixed as I was only in Minnesota on vacation for another week and my former jeweler in town went out of business last year. After some searching online, my mother in law found S R Hoskins and I went in on a Tuesday. I was told they couldn’t guarantee it’d be done for two weeks, but left it anyways, since I couldn’t find a jeweler near my current home that specialized in antiques. I figured I would need a family member pick it up and overnight it to me, which I wasn’t super comfortable with, but didn’t know what else to do. After only four days, Randy called to tell me my ring was ready for pickup! When they brought out the ring, I was stunned. The top had to be rebuilt, but still looks original to the ring. The rhodium finish added to the 14k white gold made the ring sparkle and shine like I’ve never seen it before! I’m more in love with me ring than ever, and it was super affordable. The staff was so friendly, and Randy worked hard to make sure my ring was fixed before I had to leave the state. I cannot recommend S R Hoskins enough, and I know I’ve found a jeweler for life - even though I live thousands...

I stopped into SR Hoskins for my first time in early February. My mom told me they were a great jeweler with really fair pricing. I got engaged and wanted to know the cost of a custom wedding ring for myself. I brought in my grandpas wedding ring and I wanted to have the diamonds removed to use in my ring. Randy was super helpful and walked me through the entire process. He sized me and had a wax mold created. A few days later he told me the mold had arrived. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. He then took my grandpas diamonds and placed them on the mold to make sure they were positioned exactly how I wanted. 4 days later he called and said my ring was ready for pick up. My fiance and I stopped in and it looked amazing and exactly how I envisioned it to be. She was so impressed, we took an extra diamond that we had from my grandpas ring and had a right hand ring created for her. It turned out great as well. We had the gold from my grandpas ring and some other scrap gold and I asked him how much he would give us for it. We were shocked at the fair rate and instantly took his offer. Randy and his staff are amazing and treat you like family that you don't get from other big chain outfits. They have 2 new customers for life and I highly recommend them...

I have never reviewed any business or service but my experience at S R Hoskins needs to be shared. I brought in my mom's wedding ring shortly before Christmas to have the stone remounted and band soldered after being cut off for an emergency surgery. I told Randy it would be great to put a smile on my moms face on Christmas after recently losing her husband. Randy showed me everything about the stone and totally explained the age, cut and weight of the main stone, very knowledge jeweler. The estimated cost was half the cost of the first estimate I got elsewhere. I was told it might not be done in time for Christmas but that was my fault for being late to the game. I told Randy I understood but it sure would be nice to put a smile on a 90 year old recently widowed womens face on Christmas, shame one me. I got a call from Randy the next afternoon saying my moms ring was done. He worked late into the night to get it done and not interfere with commitments he had already made. If that's not a Christmas miracle I dont know what is. Thanks so much to Randy and crew. I could never thank you enough for you guys making this happen.
