I typically support small family-owned restaurants and have never left a negative review before. However, after my recent experience, I feel compelled to share my disappointment with this restaurant. Despite having dined in once and ordered takeout several times, my family and I will not be returning to this place. We arrived at 8:30 PM, fully aware that the restaurant closes at 9 PM. We thought they would not let in any new customers in after 9 PM like many other places do. If there had been a strict closing time, the staff could have informed us upfront or simply asked if we’d prefer takeout. Instead, they seated us, rushed through our order without allowing us time to review the menu, and hurried the entire dining experience. Our appetizer arrived without plates, forcing us to use paper towels to eat. The main course was served at 8:52 PM, and just five minutes later, we were told we needed to leave in 10 minutes. In all my years of dining, I have never felt so unwelcome. I have never seen a place where they do not let the customers finish their meal after their closing time. We barely touched our meals but chose not to complain, instead requesting takeout boxes. While packing up, even before we had paid, the server removed our drinks without asking. The food itself felt rushed in preparation. While two dishes were decent and one was mediocre, my Rad Na noodles were the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. My daughter’s curry came with a small bowl of rice, but she wasn’t given a proper dinner plate—only the tiny plate covering the rice bowl. While we didn’t expect extraordinary service, even the most basic standards were not met. I debated leaving without tipping but ultimately did. My family actively seeks out and supports small restaurants, often driving beyond our local options for a good meal. After this experience, however, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreMy daughter and I were looking for a new place to try for lunch. I googled up restaurants near us and this place popped up, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. We were impressed at how much they loaded the combination pho up and at a very decent price compared to other places. Love their spicy wings. I told my husband about the place afterwards and so he wanted to grab some food for dinner to try himself so we ended up grabbing to go dinner. A week later, we took my sister and brother in law to go try and they also love the food too. The older lady that waited our table was super nice and friendly. The food came out super quick both time that we dined in. Food was full of flavor and very decent prices. Who sells their eggrolls for 7.xx and you get 6 pieces!? This place! I’ve gone to many restaurants and their prices are the same or else pricier for only 2 pc. So far we’ve tried their cream cheese wontons, regular wings, spicy wings, papaya (Lao style), combination pho, drunken noodle, beef curry, sesame chicken, fried rice, and egg rolls and haven’t been disappointed. Sesame chicken only comes in 11-12piece (fyi). Overall, good food, super quick service, reasonable prices, large portion, friendly staff, flavorful food. Your tastebud might be different from mine so you might feel differently about it but this is my opinion. Downfall,...
Read moreThe food here is seriously some of the best Thai I’ve had in the Twin Cities area, even over the seemingly fancy places like Roat Osha or Chang Mai. The setting is unassuming, placed in a quaint, small town, however the food takes you elsewhere. Upon entering, don’t be put off by the little things, or what your idea of a five star restaurant should be. Put your bias’s aside. Sit down and order the spring rolls. They’ll be served to you on paper placemats from a red cafeteria tray. Dip them in that peanut sauce that’s traditional enough to sate the craving, but somehow better than any other you’ve tried. Then order the red curry. Let the chicken melt in your mouth, literally. Like they slow cook it or something. Let those flavors give you a warm hug, because curry isn’t that good unless somebodies grandma learned how to make it in the homeland. Eventually, the older lady will usher you out of there a little too quickly, the guy at the front won’t be quite as nice as he could be- but you’re going to experience some incredible, authentic flavors at a reasonable price in an unpretentious environment. What is a 5 star restaurant anyway, other than being exactly what it’s meant to be?...
