Spud's Emporium is more than a store; it is an institution. It's like the bar on Cheers, where everybody knows your name, and the employees can tell you about things that you will love that you never even knew existed. Whether it's a parent trying to find comic books that will get their child interested in reading, or 20-somethings looking for a board game/card game that be fun for a party of 8 but be easy enough to play while drunk, Spud always knows exactly what it is you need. A family friendly environment where you don't have to be afraid to bring your kids, but still a place that is fun enough that an adult can game for an evening with friends and have an enjoyable time. Spuds has it all.

If you shop here I highly recommend double checking your pricing...
Read moreSpud's is just getting started but this little shop brings something different to the table. Something I've long felt Ottumwa has sorely needed. It's a comfortable and laid-back place to visit, hang out and pick up all the odds and ends a ttrpg gamer could want or need. The inventory is limited but growing constantly and I've no doubt Spuds will become a prime destination for card collectors, comic lovers, ttrpg players, and other hobbyists in due time as it continues to establish itself. You won't find a better place to meet like-minded folks in the area and you certainly won't regret...
