Collier Lanes — Local services in Oxford Charter Township

Went to Cosmic Bowling last Friday and was very disappointed. Hadn't been in a couple years, with the exception of a private event, and couldn't believe the experience we had.

1. There was no music; we had to pay to hear music during Cosmic Bowling!?!? Never been to a bowling alley where you had to pay to hear music during leagues OR Cosmic, unless you want to hear something specific (jukebox/app). Our hourly rental of the lanes was still counting while feeding the jukebox and finding songs. Total mood killer w/o tunes!
2. The lanes were dry as hell and the ball return barely worked. Took a loooong time to get the balls back.
3. Scoring was incorrect. Many times it recorded a spare when there wasn't one, or failed to log a spare when there was, or didn't correctly count the # of pins that were actually knocked down.

I don't think I'll be back to Collier Lanes. A shame, because they are local, but the atmosphere and quality of the equipment was poor...

You gotta enjoy the nostalgia of the place. When you go in, it feels like you're in a 90's bowling alley. The prices are reasonable and the games are really fun.

They have tournaments that you can do here, I don't know too much about them, but I heard they're really fun.

This would also be a great place if you're planning to have parties or wedding receptions. I've actually been to a wedding reception recently here and they have an area where there's chairs and tables and a bar too.

Honestly I have to give this place a 5 star review for all that, and especially the nice staff that...

If you want to have a great time bowling without long waits and under $10 per person including shoes, then Collier Lanes is the right place. We walked in on Monday afternoon, got bowling shoes and each purchased 2 games... What a bargain for under $10. No wait time, in addition to fast service. The counter assistant also added our names on the board for us. Talk about great service, we walked over to the lane provided and played without having to waste any time. Very clean location, many options for bowling ball weights and fast/friendly service. Can't wait to...
