Have gone here 2 times since the full rebrand. I like the clean up inside, and the staff has always been amazing (for years). But this new place has issue.
The menu is chaotic and confusing, you offer basically the same thing 3 times at different price points, also, you have to ask the staff to get the price right, I’ve never gotten a bill that matches the menu.
Also, on the price front, this place is expensive, way to much for an oxford dinner, now some things are priced correctly, I can get a big corned beef and Swiss sandwich (amazing) for $15, right inline with what this should cost at any good deli.
But to get two eggs, and a meat and toast for my kids (breakfast is not in the kids menu) it over $10, I know prices are up but this is out of this world pricing. The 3 of us spending $50 for breakfast at a dinner (or anywhere) is crazy, and we eat out a lot.
Your pricing is inconsistent and doesn’t make sense, I don’t want to have to fight for the menu price, fix it or leave, Oxford is not to forgiving for bad restaurants (your sandwiches...
Read moreI asked for my hash browns to be cooked on both sides. Cooks in the area tend to cook them only on one side flip them over onto the plate. This is what I got. They looked as if they were cooked with what is called a grill press. They were smashed into flat strips and soaking in grease. The waitress took off with the bill in what I thought was to take them off the check then came back, mumbled something and left the check on the table unaltered. I told her when she came back after serving us that presenting someone with food that looks like that is unacceptable. If the cook doesn’t understand what it means to cook something on both sides he should just ask the customer what they mean. But I wasn’t going to make a scene in the restaurant. She offered to take them back but I know better than that. She said then she would deduct them from the check. Again, I said I didn’t want to make a scene. Here they are. You can see what I was served. Maybe the owner has a thought on the mess that...
