Slapbox Oxford — Restaurant in Oxford Charter Township

Fast casual, no dine in, but that’s what the town needed! Something besides a fast food chain to get a quick meal. Reasonably priced for this day and age with inflation. McDonald’s prices aren’t far off. The menu has a good variety of options, and I see lots of room for growth and new creations in the future. We really enjoyed our burgers - I got the Slap Burger, hubby got the Haymaker - and the classic fried sides are just what we needed today. The #1 combo is a great option for a first timer - you get to try a few different things in one box. Burger was seasoned and tasted fresh, bun was soft, fresh, and toasty, everything was hot! All sauces tasted fresh and home made. Beef bacon was a very nice touch. No complaints. Only knocked a star off in the atmosphere category because there is no seating. Would love to see them eventually expand to a restaurant with dine-in. Looking forward to trying one of the chicken sandwiches or loaded...

I want to start off first by saying the OG burger was pretty awesome. Sadly, that’s where it ended.

I got there before everything was supposed to be done to ensure it was all fresh, for the best experience.

We got a variety of food to try.

Fries were lukewarm right when I got em. Seemed like they coulda been decent fries.

Tenders were flat as a pancake, seemed overcooked and chewed like rubber.

Mozz sticks were undercooked. Cheese was basically like eating a piece of string cheese (because they weren’t very warm) inside an under-fried exterior.

Was looking very forward to it so it was kinda a bummer to spend a decent amount and be underwhelmed on all the sides. What sold me was the variety of the combo #1 and there was good potential but sadly missed the mark.

I've had this place a few times now. Their burgers are very good. Their jalapenos are very fresh and tasty. I've ordered the #3 slapbox a couple times and and really enjoyed it. Only complaint is that the chicken both times was kinda tough and chewy. If they can fix that issue it's an easy 5/5 for me.

Update: I always get the #3 slapbox with an extra little side of Nashville and BBQ sauce and they have never charged me for it. Tried ordering today and they are now charging an extra few bucks for those tiny little sides of sauces. I can understand an extra$.25-$.50 but not and extra $2-$3. Really unfortunate cuz I was a regular customer and now probably won't be back cuz it seems like they're starting to...
