The Oxford Community Market is a great place for locally produced food! This is in my top 3 favourite places in Oxford. You know that your money is going straight to the producer and you also get to know where your food comes from.
The market meets Tuesdays, from 3 to 6:30 year round. (Obviously there are more vendors in the warmer months.)
Many great local farms bring their amazing produce to sell. I've had the best watermelons of my life from this market, as well as some of the best strawberries. Okra, peppers, herbs, tomatoes... I can go on and on about the delights of this market! There's a Guy Clark song, "homegrown tomatoes".... "only two things money can't buy, that's true love and homegrown tomatoes". This market gets pretty darn close. If you care about farming practices, you should ask. Some of the farmers are "naturally grown certified", some follow organic practices, and some use conventional methods.
A number of vendors bring things other than vegetables too. There are delicious and unusual jellies, jams, baked goods and sauces available. You can get plants ready to transplant, herbs, mushrooms, seeds and sewn things.
Oxcicles (popsicles) is there most weeks. My daughters highly recommend them.
A couple vendors sell eggs (some pastured and at least one not). Falkner farms sells frozen beef (including some hard to find cuts.)

I usually go near the end. A couple vendors will set stuff aside for you if you make arrangements in advance, notably Poultry In Motion (whose potatoes, snap peas and cherry tomatoes...
