I have never been to a place where the workers were so rude and ignorant. I have been to several bowling ally's in my life and have never felt disrepected like I did today. First off I do not believe that children should have to pay the same price for a game as the adults do. Second I payed for two children to play two games and they only wanted to give us one childs ball because as they put it "Only one can bowl at a time". That is true however, every adult gets their own ball so why the hell shouldn't a child have his or her own ball. We asked twice for a second ball so that the kids would not fight over just one ball. We got sarcasim and nasty nasty attitudes from the guy behind the desk. Well excuse me but i paid $35 for three of us to bowl and I believe that my children should not have to share one ball when both of them had to pay for a game. When I asked for a shoe size up for my kids I got another attitude from them. Well guess what jerks not all shoes are made the same and kids sizes vary from place to place. It was supposed to be a smoke free area however when I entered the place all you could smell was the smoke. There was no music as you had to pay to listen to music. Had I paid with cash I would have left the shoes and the balls sitting down on th e lane for there lazy butts to come down and get. they also mutted the TV and then shut it off while my aunt was watching it because she could not play due to knee surgery. This was the most unfriendly un-family orintated place I have ever been in. I laughed when I read this on their website "To provide a clean, professional, family environment for wholesome entertainment and family fun. To maintain high standards of cleanliness, modern equipment, high food quality, and impeccable service to our customers," Ha everything they are NOT. There was only us and one other family in there. That should have been my first clue that this place was bad. On top of all that they had the balls to sit there and...
Read moreVery unprofessional. I witnessed who I assume is the bar tender slandering fellow coworkers. This isn’t the first or even the second time I’ve experienced this here. I’ve seen multiple times how they talk about one another and it’s disgusting. Coworkers should be on the same side, not at one another’s throats. You’d think fully grown adults would know better than to act this way. This also isn’t the only review about this topic. There are multiple complaints about the workers being rude or not getting along. This needs to be fixed. Not only that but this is the same bar tender who refused to give my friend free water another night. My friend suffers from a health issue and needs to take her pills when overwhelmed. The water fountain doesn’t work so we had no way to get water for her to drink. We had to leave and go to the vending machine which to no surprise at all, didn’t work and took our money. We had another time when the woman at the front counter completely ignored us. I didn’t get her name, but it was whoever works in the day time. Why even work here if you’re not going to show proper customer service? My friend and I are heavily disappointed with the whole expereince. We’ve tried to give this place a chance multiple times and have been let down each one. I don’t think we will be returning any time soon. The people in metropolis are...
Read moreThe lane we were at kept breaking. We notified an employee who was extremely rude but eventually fixed it and told us to resume our game. We bowled 2 more frames and suddenly the same employee was literally screaming profanities at us yelling that the lane was broken even though it seemed to be working fine. Our group and the group beside us were all legitimately confused as to what was happening because everything seemed to be working. She screamed at us to “GET OUT!” and refused to give us a refund or an explanation. We asked for a manager and she told us there was no manager. No one in our group did a single rude or destructive action. We called the next day to speak to a manager and were told that she wasn’t sure what had happened but that we would not receive a refund. So in the end, we paid $45 to have an employee scream profanities at us in front of all other customers for no reason. It was so bizarre that the group beside us also left due to the employee’s behavior and then told us in the parking lot that they would drive to Metropolis or Murray next time they...
