Today I was needing a little cash. I had been here before and AJ was there i believe. I dont think that he was there when i was there today. I felt like he was fair and a friendly person so i went there today to sell some gold. The person that inspectet the two items i gave him put them on the scale and told another person 6.4 fo the both. "I'd say 6.3 because the diamond in one would have a little weight. So 6.3 total of 10 kt Gold for them and one is a solid band." I thought i was misunderstanding something because i have some gold items i was weighing for the last couple of days on my personal scale. The 10k band that i probobly weighed 50 times was 8.5 grams and when i put the the other sample on with the band it weighed almost 11grams total but i was figureing 10 in my head because they dont care about the diamond. The Gold would be all that i would get for them. I was in a hurry and the two didnt cost me any money so i took the 240 they would give me for the two of 6.3 grams. Unless i am missing something or misunderstanding what 6.3 is in the weight talking. The hevier one itself was 8.5 of only a band of 10 k gold. The Scale i am using is AWS model: BCM-100. I always test with a dollar bill in case there could be low batteries or something that a one dollar bill would not weigh right at a gram. I have a feeling that the person i dealt with today with the face shield on shaved off some of the actual weight of the gold thinking people dont have a scale to weigh it. I wasnt expecting what the gold calculater from the internet was saying i would get from what the gold in scrap was worth. It started to sink in after i left. I thought i was going to the right place for fair and trustworthy business. I should have went anywere else. I would rather have some place tell me they will give me 20 bucks for the right weight that have someone scam me thinking i hadnt weighed the items...
Read moreDo not go to Carroll's Treasures Jewelry by Noble park! he destroyed my mother’s ring. He was so rude didn’t communicate and said the band either melted or broke but couldn’t tell me exactly what happened! So instead of calling me to tell me what happened the owner thought it was perfectly fine to just put a new cheap looking thick band on it (originally a delicate looking thin band) and I guess thought that I would never know! We would of just taken the top of the ring and taken it to Kay’s to be put on a new band or put on a chain for a necklace! This is the ring that was left to my daughter after my mother passed august 31st and she just wanted it sized to fit her. He also told me that not calling me about it was good business and not bad customer service! I made him return my mother ring back to me and I took to Kay’s and the called today and told me he messed up so much the ring isn’t able to be saved and they are not able to work on it! I’m so devastated and so is my 15 year...
Read moreSo I had to make this post because it's been on my mind all day. I took my jewelry to this place to be cleaned. I dropped it off and had my grandmother pick it up bc I live in Nashville, I grew up here and thought I could trust them vs the city. I've had this ring since I was 14, I absolutely knew something was off with my stones when I got it back, should've went with my instincts. The color and the sizes looked different. I was soo naive and didn't have any paperwork or pictures of before I handed it over to them. The stone piece fell out about a year later after wearing it, it was loose the whole time. I took it to a jeweler today and he tested my stone and said it was glass. That it wasn't the original piece AND it was different colors. They literally switched my original stone and replaced it with glass. THEY SAID GLASS! I don't know if these are the same owners but you reap what you sow. Just be mindful of your jewelry. People are greedy...
