I was one of the victims of their supposed jewelry store robbery in the late 1990s. After years of going in the store and asking for any update on the jewelry from their insurance company waiting to have my ring replaced or paid for and being treated like how dare I expect anything from them I gave up. My pear shape 3 crt Champagne diamond engagement ring and all the jewelry went to Mexico along with everybody else's jewelry. The only person that got her jewelry back was a woman that had the money to take out a full page newspaper ad in the Desert Sun showing pictures of her wearing her jewelry. My ring was there to get sized and mailed to me. When I never received it I called and was told by his clerk Connie that they had been robbed. A few months later his brother was set up in his own jewelry store in Cathedral City and I was told from other jewelry stores alot of it was from the El Paseo store. Read moreWorst treatment I have had in some time now, I called to try to sell a jewelry piece and agreed to be there in 15min which they agreed to and when I arrived they said to come next day because the person had already left (knowing they said in 15min I was good to come in for a quote) and the worst part is the lady did not even bother and show the minimum interest in what I as customer had to offer. She talked to me at least from a 15 ft distance, not even bothered to greet me as a customer properly, maybe because I look young and they think it wasn't good business, but never judge a book by its cover.
