We shop here and every time we notice the employees are snooty. I'm not going to spend my money where employees act rude and arrogant. Especially when they are caught lying. We went there today to specifically shop for bedding, throws, and pillows. While shopping, I had to use the bathroom. I am disabled as a side note and noticed "Out of Order" signs posted on both bathroom doors. What's the odds of both bathrooms being broken? Ok slim so I heard someone in the bathroom flush the toilet and wash their hands while standing there wondering what to do. Then I see a male employee come out. The reason I know he was an employee was because he had a radio. So I step inside and no signs of any work or repairs. My thought is that they don't want to have to clean up after customers so they stick up those signs to keep shoppers out. So after I used the well functioning bathroom, my husband asked Donna (employee) if there was a bathroom. After stuttering and refusing to look him in the eye, she said they did but they were t works no and that we could walk all the way to Brooks Brothers to use theirs. This is ALL THE WAY at the OTHER END of the complex. Plus upon speaking to Brooks Brothers. They don't have a bathroom. It's a little further around the corner. They graciously apologized for Pottery Barns behavior and provided the managements office number. My husband called Pottery Barns manager Nicole who stated she hadn't been there this week and was told by employees that there had been flooding upstairs. Sounds like more lies. She's been there all day today. So did Nicole walk all the way to Brooks to use the potty today? Not cool to lie to your customers. Glad I put the...
Read moreI visited this lovely Pottery Barn on June 19th. I was very excited because I frequently shop at the Pottery Barn in La Jolla, CA. My mom recently purchased a house in Palm Desert and I was looking for rugs and bedding. I am sorry to say that no one greeted me or even gave a friendly smile. I was in the presence of two gentlemen employees and one female employee. After being in the store for 30 minutes, I was finally asked by the female employee if there was something she could help me with. I asked the price on a few of the rugs that were in the sale area that were tied with twine. She was unable to find the price on the one that I really wanted. She was having difficulty untie the twine and I tried to help and she scolded me and said "I do not need your help". The male employee sat through the whole experience while he was on the sales floor and while at the register and listened to her and did nothing to offer his assistance. Then she clearly stated, "I cannot find the price!" without offering a solution. I asked if I could leave my number and they could call me after they did their research. I haven't been called since. I am a kind customer who is not demanding in the least. I am fortunate enough to have most of my living room and family room outfitted with merchandise from Pottery Barn. This experience was extremely unfortunate and I am quite sad that I feel nervous to visit this location again. The Pottery Barn in La Jolla will continue to have my business and I will just transport the items that I buy to Palm Desert. There is also a sense of validation after reading your other reviews. It seems customer service is not a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 I would. I went in and bought plates, place mats, bowls and we needed to order four bowls. So I finally called to find out what happened with them and the person who ordered told me that she did not get my phone number, And she would call me right back after she checked on their status. She did not call me right back so I called again. She said that she put them on the shelf but someone took them. Obviously It was not important to make sure that the order was safe. I got unhappy and she didn't like it. It was a horrible experience dealing with her. I believe she's a designer. There's a reason why they have 3.5 stars as opposed to 5. I am looking forward to returning all these items and never shopping there again. She wanted to explain what happened and I didn't care. The bottom line was we ordered these bowls to go with this set and somebody took them. Nobody was paying attention to my order. It was probably too...
