Ralph Lauren — Local services in Palm Desert

First off, I am a Ralph Lauren FREAK. I have a custom made Ralph Lauren shirt that says 'Supernerd' with the Polo logo and my name on the back. (you can order online from their website) So walking in this store wearing that shirt was kind of an attention getter from the staff and we all had a giggle over it. I truly enjoyed the banter with the staff and they were no pressure, just fun. I looked at a bunch of different items but didn't see anything that caught my eye. I mentioned to the sales lady there that I was wanting a lovely shirt for fall, and she showed me a rack I didn't see that was discounted! Visited here September 17, 2024. The merchandise is nice. The gentleman salesman was helpful. When I went to pay, he asked me for my phone number. I said no. Then he asked for my e-mail. I said no. The owner or manager came out and scolded me by refusing to provide the private information. I explained that I just wanted to pay for an item and take it with me, and asked why they were asking me for my private information. The two answers were: "We need it for the system." And: "In case you lose your receipt and need an exchange, we have you here." My foot. If I could give this location zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I were going to do some shopping at this location and were followed the entire time in the store.
