Positive experience. Had to drive around the block for parking if I recall, or we missed the restaurant driveway or something. It didn't seem to be easy peasy (totally could have been US). We were seated right away (2ish pm on a Friday). Lots of things on the menu seemed appealing, and I would like to go back for dinner sometime. (I bet their steaks are good given the variety offered.) Old school vibe inside. White tablecloths. They had a patio I would have loved to enjoy, but it was super hot that day. Our server was pleasant and proactively brought water and soda refills, checked on us, etc. The warm sourdough bread and butter laid before us was so good we asked for seconds. I enjoyed the Western burger (whatever it's called there): bacon, cheese, fried onion strings, and (I think) BBQ sauce. Grilled brioche bun. Sweet potato fries were crispy and not overdone. Their ranch dressing for dipping was nummy, too. The Ceasar salad (with chicken) was a nice size, and there was a bit of lettuce still in the bowl when we were done because we couldn't eat it all. Croutons tasted homemade. We were tempted to order dessert but were so full from lunch there just wasn't room. The carrot cake and key lime pie caught my eye. Next time!

Delicious food, excellent service and prime location near tons of shopping! Daily Grill is a reliable option no matter where you go. Food: I ordered the Grilled Skirt Stead Salad. The salad ingredients were fresh and served with a generous portion of steak. If you are looking for a healthy and filling dish, then order the Grilled Skirt Steak Salad. Service: The manager at the time (last visited in November 2023), Paula, was very attentive to all customers upon entrance and was training new staff when I walked in. Paula was focused on ensuring the staff understood the importance of making sure guests were greeted and communicated with upon entrance. Lily was our server, and was pleasant, friendly, smart, and ensured a wonderful experience. Parking: Plenty of free street parking. I highly recommend Daily Grill, and appreciate Paula and Lily for ensuring a great dining experience!

With a great variety of selection and recreations on popular favorites, you can find something for everyone. A favorite place for "boomers" but the younger generation will also find satisfaction at The Daily Grill. The Fish & Chips are fried to a crisp served with peanut slaw, soooo good. Angel hair Pomodoro has freshly made sauce with basil and decent portion sizes. The sesame seared Ahi Tuna Sashimi with fried Basil appetizer is a great choice. Service is very friendly and attentive to your needed. Patio dining is not crowded limited to social distancing. Bar service is limited as this time but give this restaurant a try for good food, fast and delightful service.

I truly don’t like to write reviews like that but some time I feel I have to . Well I lived in valley for 5 years now and pass this place numerous times and some how even I see people go and wait line I never had want to go in. Why ? I don’t know I guess my guts was telling me don’t go . But frind of mine wanted to invite me to lunch and she picked , you guessed it . Thai place ! Well where to start .. from moment we got in we was placed in END of restaurant even so we had reservations and it was not full at all. Mid day , mid week - 114’ out side . You know valley is slow. . Ok we will go with the flow . By sitting down and waited bring us menus we start chatting and catching up and stoped by waiter numerous times for order even so we told her - we order drinks but please please give us time to just cutch up and we will order in some time… ( we told her we didn’t see it other almost a year and we trying to chat)! Well- by chatting and catching up I lift my eyes just glance and what I see - card boards are taped to the ceiling because they lost few ceiling panels , ok quick fix for day maybe - but the more you look the more you realize that half of ceiling falling down and they just taping cardboard in stead.. eweeee… Ok moving on after waiter stoped 1010 times ( every 5min ) we order ahi tuna to start with and then salat to share ! Ahi tuna was way over cook and chewy … Salat - absolutely felt like old lettuce and brown corners with shrimp again over cooked . And we had a club sandwich- was dry and not fresh. I don’t know but I eat raw fish and I eat a lot so ahi time in my life - This was absolutely not ahi… an absolute no for sure ! Salat was not fresh at all . I left half of half on plate . The only one thing I had is a bit of fries.. By excusing my self to visit restroom ( ladies side ). I come first to the stink of the place , doors don’t lock at all , you just can’t because they don’t fit any longer into frame , and old nasty rag was on floor blocking something in between two stalls . ( beside to tell you that both bathrooms can’t not be locked ) . Lady near me her door was opened by another customer she was using bathroom. Not cool ! Bathroom stank so bad that I run out as fast as I could .. so my realization why I did not go here for 5 years and listen to my guts all this time prove me that I was correct! This place have stink smell of old and not fix place, bathrooms licks and I really don’t want to know how kitchen look but by the food we got it was no so good . This place in need of so much cleaning and fixing and cardboard on ceiling not gonna do! I am definitely not coming back . And I think you should too. Nothing to write poem about beside all I said above. . And if you reed till now you will understand that if I take time to write this long poem I do want you to realize how disappointed I was from this place. . Need major changes/ CLEANLINESS and...

I have been a long time fan of The Daily Grill and a regular diner since they first opened on El Paseo in Palm Desert more than 15 years ago. It was always in my list of favorite places. Recently, however, I've had 3 bad experiences in a row when ordering for delivery. Chicken Piccata was always a favorite choice whether dining in or having it delivered via Uber Eats. There was always a generous portion of both chicken (cooked perfectly, browned and juicy), asparagus (chosen side) and pasta and the picatta sauce. But then there came a big change. I ordered chicken piccata (delivery) and it came with no sauce. There was the usual good portion of everything but no piccata sauce; the pasta was dry. We concluded they may have had an off night and decided a few weeks later to give it another try. Again it came in a good portion but with no sauce. We gave them a 3rd chance several weeks later. After putting in the order online via Uber Eats, I called the restaurant and explained to the manager what had happened the past two times, that we were big fans of the restaurant and could they give us extra sauce this time to insure that at least there would be some sauce. What's the point of ordering Chicken Piccata if you don't get the wonderful flavors of the sauce? She assured me there would be extra sauce. The order arrived: good portion, no sauce. None. The pasta had a little olive oil on it and nothing else. It was dry and tasteless. When I called to complain, I was connected to the manager (the same woman who'd assured me they'd make it correctly this time). She first gave an excuse that was not only untrue, but not historically true for the restaurant. They used to make it right, and it was delicious, which was why we kept giving them more chances. Again, we'd enjoyed it both in house and at home. Her excuse: "The pasta absorbs all the sauce in the time it goes from the restaurant to the person's house." Complete falsehood. When I said that wasn't true, this was the remedy offered: I could drive down there (at 8:30 at night) and they would give me sauce and a free dessert. Or I could try to get a refund from Uber Eats. Neither of these options were appropriate or fair. The Daily Grill's failure was not Uber Eats failure. Neither was it mine, and yet The Daily Grill's manager's solution was that either Uber Eats pays for it or I do. We were so disappointed because that is not the service we had known in the past. We will not be returning. If they are under new management, they ought to...

I originally gave 5 stars based on our first visit August 2021. My hubs & I returned in September, as I had noticed Avocado Caprese on their Seasonal Menu. But we left in frustration before I could find out if it was still available or whether they could still make it, hence the updated rating!

As a couple of vegetarian foodies slowly re-entering society via outdoor dining, we again requested to eat outside. The patio already had some outdoor diners unlike our prior visit. We were seated at the available table near the door, and the hostess returned with water and said our server would be right with us. We saw 2 servers who appeared to be handling the patio area, but after 20 minutes no one had acknowledged us with an, "I'll be right with you," taken our drink order, nor offered the complimentary bread & butter we received last time while perusing the menu. I went back inside and advised the 2 hosts at the podium that we hadn't yet seen a server and would be leaving rather than continuing to wait. I pointed out that the sun had also shifted in the meantime onto my chair. A person who appeared to be management walked up as I explained. One of the hosts offered to get an umbrella and get us started, but I said we just wanted to leave at that point. Hubs and I didn't want to receive better service just because we had complained. We wanted to receive the same good service we had automatically received on our first visit, which we thought we paid for in a $20 Impossible Burger!

August 2021 was a far different experience. Hubs & I ate on the patio with plenty of shade. When the temps started to creep up, and another family arrived to eat on the patio, a couple of evaporative cooling fans were brought out, allowing us all to enjoy the patio longer. As seen in my pics, we both experienced the tasty Impossible Cool Greens Burger. It was delicious, both with French Fries and the Roasted Peanut...
