T.J. Maxx — Local services in Palm Springs

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THEIR TJMAXX CARD IF IT'S ONLY TO GET THE 10% OFF FIRST PURCHASE. (This review is for ALL TJMaxx and their affiliates, not specific to this location; this is just where I happen to be at the time). I applied for the card. After they ran my credit, they apparently needed to "review" my application so I wasn't approved right away. Mind you, I have an 810 credit score. I went immediately outside to call the bank number. I was approved. They told me that the bank "always" has to verify identification and rarely does an applicant get approved without calling in. That's fine, but, the catch is, if you are trying to get the 10% off for first purchase, you are not going to get it because they only give 10% for "immediate approvals" which remember, the lady told me on the phone they rarely do as they have to verify identification these days, despite the credit score. This is complete false advertising and I will not be shopping TJMaxx or their affiliates in the future. I took back the $550 I just bought and will rip up the card after I get it. VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE! BUT, if you want to circumvent this deceitful practice of theirs, just keep the things you just bought, don't use them, the still attached, when you get the card in "7-10 business days", take the merchandise back and buy it again with the new card. I chose to disassociate with the business altogether but, if you want to just circumvent their shady business practice and still shop there at least there is a...

Had a bad experience this evening, went to the fitting room tried three items, I am the type of person after I tried the clothes, I like to put it back on the hanger before I return them to the person who works for the for fitting room, so they don’t have to do it, that’s why usually take me a bit longer time to use the fitting room, while I was putting the clothes on the hanger, the woman knocked on the door asked me everything ok, she said I was inside there for a while, I told her I am fine, about 3 mins someone knocked on my door again asked me everything ok again, at that time I was ready to come out so I open the door, there is a guy standing outside my door, I asked him what wrong, and is there is time limited to use the fitting big room, he said I was there for a while, I told him I already told the person earlier I am fine why keep bothering me, he just said he wanted make sure...

Impressively clean, efficient and intuitive. It had been a few years since I had gone into a T.J. Maxx and I dont remember it being so clean and easy-going. The staff was friendly and informative but not overbearing. Of course the prices are heavily discounted as expected for the product, and I found more than a few very good deals with little searching and digging. Amid this terrible pandemic I have to say that the workers here really strike it right, which is to say they balance the urgency and importance of social distancing with a clean and clear and very enjoyable shopping experience. I can't recall the last time I found this kind of process quite so enjoyable. You guys and girls have done very very well here.
