Desert Isle of Palm Springs — Hotel in Palm Springs

This resort, a mid century built style, is a perfect place to enjoy your time visiting the Palm Springs area.||||The property has a total of 56 one and two bedroom units. Forty units are downstairs and sixteen are located upstairs. There are no elevators. All units have a covered parking space and there are additional uncovered spaces for guests. Many of the units have a beautiful view of the mountains. ||We stayed in a one bedroom unit. It has a large living room, containing a sleeper/sofa, love seat and side chair. There is also a flat panel cable television and a fireplace. The dining room has seating for four and the kitchen is an alright size, having all the essential equipment you would expect to find. All units have a nice patio with a barbeque grill.||||The bedroom has a king bed and two closets, a chest of drawers and a comfortable chair. There is also a flat panel television in this room. Lighting in both the bedroom and living room are good.||Two bathrooms complete the unit. One bath is off the living room and has a tub/shower combo. The other bathroom is off the bedroom. It has a standalone shower, with 3 shower heads and steam. The steam timer is on the wall next to the light switch, by the bathroom door. Both bathrooms have solar tube lighting and a timed light for night time use, however, there is no nightlight or the ability to have a light on for navigating to the bathroom overnight.||||There are 2 swimming pools and 3 spas on the property. There is also a restaurant directly adjacent. Tennis and racquetball courts are on property as well as a fitness center and sauna. They also offer complimentary use of bicycles. The lobby area has an area inside for small gatherings and an outside covered area near the large pond with comfortable seating, coffee available in the morning, and a barbecue grill. A coin operated laundry is located on property. The grounds are immaculate and the employees are friendly and courteous.||||The property is located within easy travel distance to downtown Palm Springs and other valley cities. Sooooo... I have Some things to say about this property... So, the checking in was not bad, it was fast and pretty accurate. BUT! When I went to the room, both bathroom had broken door frame and they didn't close. So, I went to the front desk agents, and told them what was wrong with my room. Guess what their answer was... LOL, Omg That literally made me mad so bad... without even saying sorry, "There is no one to fix that problem right now." and I said "Then do you have any room with better condition?", "No we are 100% booked, so I can't do anything for you." WOW I'm a front desk manager and if I get 100% booked and if your guests face some problems, I do my best to fix that problem after I say "I really apologize about that trouble" But these guys were just saying and it sounded like (I know maybe I'm over thinking) "I can't do anything for you because you are an Asian." And the guy who kinda felt like he was the GM said "Why do you even need a bathroom door to be close??" LOL OMG! LMAO!! I wanna ask you all, Why do you need your bathroom door to be close?? Holy Cow Was it a really question that he wanted me to answer?? And My Fiance stood up for me and said, "Uhh because you need your own privacy ofc?" (She is a Caucasian, White American) And he finally said "Oh Im sorry, I think I can give you one room, but it won't have as pretty Patio as yours room." and we both said its okay, we want to change our room. Guys, What do you think? Well we finally changed our room cuz the second room had better bathroom doors. This Experience was Horrible for us. The rudeness from the Guy made our night horrible and terrible....

VERY UNFORTUNATE! We really loved this place but this stay of ours will be the last... Extremely poor service by staff. We booked two rooms and had a cockroach problem in both, and one of the rooms the toilet was leaking and my sister actually tripped and fell. We called when the toilet problem happened and they told us that it's too late in the day so there is no maintenance staff available so he just said turn off the valve and we'll take a look at it in the morning. In the morning they came and basically said were lying and that there is no problem with the toilet. Very ridiculous. When we checked out Ray White was the only one at the desk and with attitude he basically accused us of lying, said we gave his co workers a hard time and said we didn't fill out a report??? (No one ever told us anything about a report or we would've gladly filed one). Ray was extremely rude, instead of apologizing he gave us attitude and said he remembers us from earlier this year and said we gave him a problem again???? Lool! Last time we were there was last year and we left really pleased that's why we came back. Literally he pointed to the door and said "that's the door leave". I have never experienced such poor service and hence for that reason because of the way they handled the situation I will never be back and I will make sure to tell all of my friends and family to stay far away...
