Ridgewood Plaza — Local services in Palmetto

Small plaza only a handful of stores. The biggest store is a Ace Hardware that's where I want to rent a Uhaul Trailer. Everyone that worked at the store was really nice. The gentleman who helped me at the register helped me hook the trailer up to my truck and was very nice the whole time. I was very pleased with the service. The only thing I wasn't happy with was that I had to rent the trailer because my husband's drag car blew a transmission line at the race track which was about an hour and 30 minutes from our house. I've never rented a trailer so I was under the impression I would just drop the trailer off at another Uhaul rental place by my house because who wants to drive a 3 hour round trip to take a trailer back. When I rented the trailer I wasn't asked if I wanted to return it to a different location or any questions about returning it somewhere else. The guy even had to type my address in the computer knowing I didn't live in the area but still didn't ask me if I wanted to return it somewhere else or tell me I had to return it back to their store. The only reason I knew it had to be returned to their store was because I read the contact right before I was about to return it to the location by my home. I called Uhauls customer service number and spoke to them about the issue and was told I should have been asked if I wanted to return it some else or told I had to return it back to their location. I asked the customer service rep if I could return it to the location by my house and he said I would be charged double or triple of what I paid for a recovery fee. Point is if you have never rented a Uhaul Trailer and don't know how things work make sure to ask where it should be rented and how much it would cost to return it to a different location. Friendly staff and friendly customers. The store is pretty stuffed with things you wouldn't find in a normal hardware store, let alone the ace that is in my home town. But it does have what you need to repair your house. Great selection of well priced grills and smokers, as well as a great clearance section that has things you could use. Look forward to...

Great area and getting better all the time! Ate breakfast at the Ellenton Cafe and service was fast and friendly, food was fresh and fast and tasted great. In and out for a very inexpensive healthy breakfast. WOW! I dont think I could make it less expensive at home! Can't say enough about this place but this restaurant and is a dying...
