Vampire Penguin — Restaurant in Florida

My son and I had stopped in to clothing mentor ( he had just turned 6 the day before). Tracy was ringing us out and chatting with him. She was so kind to tell us about vampire penguin . I said we would go check it out after we were finished. She walked us over and gave us a tour and treated him. How sweet is that? The decor inside is sooo cute. My little guy loved it. They’re very creative and the treats are delightful. Also, Tracy’s son runs the place, he’s adorable and helpful…. And makes 3-D toys for the kids to pick out when they have tokens . The entire staff ( there was another sweet young lady and guy there) is soo genuinely kind and great with kids. What a treat to meet them and experience vampire penguin for the first time. Our day plans for attending an outdoor festival over in St Pete were rudely changed due to the weather. So we opted for cruising around and finding some new places to eat and shop.

We stop in this area for At Home and Tobacco Depot eloquently, but hadn't noticed this place had opened right next to the cigar shop until I was searching on line this morning in Google maps.

Well, this looked like the perfect dessert stop for us before we headed home.

Best shaved ice, ever! Extra light and fluffy and the flavorings and toppings are amazing.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The place is amazing to see. The decor took a lot of time and effort to keep that beachy/ocean theme.

This will be a frequent stop for us when in the area, and I see that there is a second location in Bloomingdale...bonus!

My daughter and I got to finally visit a store for our summer bucket list. And we went on Thursday June 30th between 3:45-5pm. The employees in there were just above and beyond nice! I can’t even describe how they made it feel like an “experience” There was a token with the kids bowl that my daughter got to get a toy with. She also read the 2 books about how the vampire penguin started. The atmosphere is very fun to look at and the perfect photo place! I highly recommend this place. The shaved snow ice cream is delicious and definitely fun to enjoy. Light and still creamy. Prices were appropriate and like I said the employees made our stop worth it a million times over !!!!
