Our condo was perfect. (#1603) It has nicely appointed rooms, it was clean and the seating was plentiful. The appliances are nice and new. Fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The 16th floor is beautiful. If you love TV, then the bedrooms only have local cable, but the main TV in the living room has the better TV service.
The only negative (thus my 2 star rating) was the beach service provided by the resort, Emerald Isle. (Not the condo owners fault) I rented this condo specifically because they provided 2 beach chairs and an umbrella as part of the rental. We were flying to PCB, so we wouldn't have our own. The beach service at Emerald Isle is totally unreliable. They only set the chairs out for 2 hours in our 4 day stay! Granted, the weather was spotty showers in the early morning, on Sun/Mon, we could hear thunder in the distance, but it was beautiful by 2pm everyday. Still no chairs. The condos to the left and right had their chairs and umbrellas out every single day, by 7am, no matter the weather! On Tuesday, it was a beautiful morning, they set the chairs out. We sat. An hour or so later a rainy patch comes through for about 10 minutes, by the time we got upstairs it was all clear and we went back down, clear skies and they are pulling the chairs. When I asked why, the guy mumbled "it's the calm before the storm, we're pulling them in." It was BEAUTIFUL the rest of the day. No rain. Barely any clouds. So, just a warning, if you decide to rent in this complex, do not rely on their beach service. Either rent a condo that has its own chairs/beach stuff, bring your own or plan to buy some. Just because a condo says "comes with beach service" doesn't mean you will get that at Emerald Isle. Very frustrating. So many people staying here were in our situation and we're all sitting on our towels trying to make the best of it. I learned a lesson for sure! ** in addition to the blanket response (on all reviews seen from E.I.) that they’re not responsible for pretty much anything- they ARE responsible for the beach service THEY hire to work at their condo! I wanted give it 1.5 stars so I rounded up I was being extremely generous with the 2 stars. I am very disappointed with the resort it did not meet nor exceed my family's expectations due to several issues that will be in the review below. Pros: The condo feels very inviting upon first entering,great view of the ocean,it was very clean and cool. Cons: The lock to the front door malfunctioned shortly after luggage was brought up, so someone had to Stay Behind to ensure entry upon returning from family planned activity's. Maintenance arrived the next afternoon around 230 to 3PM and put a deadbolt lock on the door and we were giving ONE KEY. Let me explain so a 5 night stay with one key with 3 adults which was and is totally unexceptable the locks are combination locks you push the numbers to gain entry this was not fixed our Safety and valuables were put at risk due to the fact we were forced to keep the entry door unlocked due to different planned activity's by the adult party's, no security was present or observed during our stay, Area between the two bedrooms had huge wet spots plural as in two that only got bigger during the 5 night stay, we had to jump through hoops and call around for the password to the WiFi due to us being giving an incorrect one upon checking in..the person that checked us in could not help us with that problem it's almost funny all that employee could do was check people in!? The two bedrooms lost ceiling vans and power to the outlets on second night due to a tripped circuit breaker that was fixed the next day, the drain in the master bathroom shower was extremely slow resulting in less then idea bathing experience The opinions in this review reflect all three adult guest that contributed to the cost of our 5 night stay,we're in agreement that Emerald Isle Resort will be given an unfavorable review and will not be used again...
Read moreThe property was very clean and the employees we encountered were super nice. The problem was being harrased by the condo owner in unit 710. This condo owner harrased us from the time we checked in until the time we decided to leave after two days into our stay due to intimidation. The owner has a ring camera because they like to review ur activity of coming in and out of the unit. Owner complained about how we opened the door and could not see us fully. After a long day at the beach with coolers, chairs and children opening the door how the owner would like us to is the last of our concern. Owner sent two strange people who did not even work or have any dealings with the property at 8:30 pm at night to search the property. They looked in closets, showers, the balcony, and even kitchen cabinets. He sent us a message at 8:29 pm letting us know someone would be coming by to search our unit we then heard a knock at the door at 8:30 pm. He stated that a strange man had every right to enter the unit with the code he provided him weather we liked it or not. We reported the issue to the HOA and they apologized on his behalf. We left the following morning 4 days before our stay was to be over due to intimidation. The owner even sent is a message about something our 7 year old said while standing at the door. UNIT 710 WAS A LIVING NIGHTMARE FOR MY FAMILY AND RUINED OUR VACATION TWO DAYS IN. HAD TO FILE A POLICE REPORT ABOUT THE HARRASMENT AND STRANGE MEN...
