My experience from beginning to end was mortifying!!! Instead of going to my normal waxing specialist, I scheduled a pregnancy Brazilian wax here with the hopes that it would be a more accommodating and relaxing experience for my pregnancy as the description implied. VERY FAR FROM THIS. From the minute I walked in, I was not greeted with a hello, instead she said “you ready?” When she took me back to a room, there was no privacy to strip down and get comfortable on the table. She told me to strip from the waist down while I struggled to lay on a thin piece of paper. The only helpful offer she made was to grab a small pillow to prop my head up. The wax itself felt almost traumatic. She went over the same areas multiple times with hot wax (which if you are going to offer a pregnancy wax, you must know the skin is more sensitive and fragile while pregnant) and took massive strips of hair in the most sensitive regions- I’m talking 3-4 inch wide strips where the sun don’t shine. I am an avid waxer and I have never had such a painful experience. When she needed to move to the back, she had me pull my legs up in a missionary birthing position that, at 9 months pregnant and laying flat on my back, was the most uncomfortable position I feel anyone (pregnant or not) could be in! I have never been waxed in such an undignified way. Afterwards, she slathered a mix of 3 products all over me that never dried. I ended up having to wipe a lot of it off and even then, it continued to soak into my underwear and pants making for a very uncomfortable rest of my day. After paying, I ended up going to back to my car and perhaps because of a combination of hormones, pain, and just the overall negative experience, I broke down in tears. THE WORST PART: I ended up with bacterial folliculitis all over my pubic region from whatever mix of lotion and cream that she put on me after ripping off some skin and very coarse pubic hair. Not to mention, there was still stubble everywhere! She broke the hair off instead of pulling it out in most places. Perhaps smaller, less painful, strips would have...

SOOOOOOO Let me start by saying this.. STACY is FAST, PROFESSIONAL, COMFORTING, A GEM..... I have had just about every service with Stacy and she is the best her staff is professional and polite.. Her wax listen listen listen she is super quick and its not all quick and a mess but its quick and its clean.. I am telling you if your by the beach side and your here for a visit and you are not trying to use a comb and a brush down there call Stacy please cause we don't want to see this lol Stacy will get you right.. If you live here and have had the same experience as I have, where you call around and nobody seems to be working or they don't want your business, CALL WAX ON THE BEACH... Her facials are relaxing and personal.. I have nothing negative to say and if you do.. You are a LIAR!!! I love her to pieces and I am glad that she is my waxer, and facial person hahaha... She also has great snacks ( that is a bonus for me lol the little things :-) )

I feel like I was misled by the amazing reviews of this place so I wanted to make sure to share my experience and hopefully no one else will feel the way I do. If you are looking for soft wax, they only use hard wax here and you’ll want to go elsewhere. In my experience, this place was unprofessional and mediocre. I have been getting waxes every 5-6 weeks for a long time at my previous salon in Minnesota and have NEVER gotten a single ingrown hair in my entire life, including when I used to shave. I had the same services here twice and currently have SEVERAL ingrown hairs along my bikini line. I haven’t changed the way I take care of my skin so I can’t point to anything other than the waxes I got from here. Not to mention both of my appointments felt rushed and the second time I left with noticeable hair still remaining on one of my underarms. I just want to reiterate that I made the decision to come here and give it a second chance based on the, nearly hundred, 5 star reviews but was so disappointed and feel bamboozled.

Update: I found Emerald Coast Aesthetics and am so pleased with my experience there! I 100% recommend going...
