Ventura Munitions — Local services in Paradise

OVERDUE REVIEW HERE ! Hello, I would like to praise the company for being one of the only stores that has Arisaka Type 99 ammunition (7.7x58 JAP) in stock ! I have stopped in a few times while in the Vegas area and have always had a great time with the customer service and the wide variety of product available ! If I was closer in the area I would definitely take advantage of those blasted bulk ammo prices ! (-; Secondly, just browsing through reviews, but noticed the Woody Valdez review which I just saw was one of FEW NEGATIVE reviews about Ventura Munitions which is seems just like an over-exaggerated and overly-sensitive response to the customer misunderstanding that the company is already reimbursing you for product they likely can't resell without repackaging the item usually hence a restocking fee. Honestly, it's sad to see what a someone will do to try to hurt the businesses that support their hobby/self-defense over such a minuscule matter (just do the research about the firearms you own OR just ask...). If you have a question about an item, ammo, or compatibility, Ventura Munition's customer service has been more than helpful in responding whether that be in person or their customer...

I’ve been coming to this shop for almost 10 years. Prices have always been solid, inventory is good, and it’s been my go-to because they’ve never had that cocky attitude a lot of other gun shops seem to carry.

That said, I had a frustrating experience last night. I came in last minute just got off work and I knew exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t there to browse or waste time. Guns were already put up for the night, but I asked if it was too late to make a purchase. One employee said no, as long as I knew what I wanted (which I did). But when another asked if the gun I wanted was in stock, the reply I overheard was, “Not if you’re just going to sit there and fondle it.”

That didn’t sit right with me. I’ve got my CCW, was ready to buy on the spot this was a simple in and out transaction that would’ve been an easy $1,000 sale. I wasn’t there to play games, and the comment felt dismissive and unnecessary. I get it, it was the end of the day and people want to go home but come on. That kind of attitude is what I’ve never expected from this shop.

Still giving 5 stars because I’ve had nothing but good experiences over the years, but this one left a bad taste...

If you haven't been ... you really should go! Probably the best place in Vegas for pew-pews and anything pew-pew related. Now granted. this last visit was a bit disappointing. The guy that served us we had never delt with before and I can honestly say... He may need a wee bit of customer service training. X-military makes you knowledgeable but not overly personable. He sat on his chair spinning much like a child would... He was yawning while helping us... and I kinda felt like we were a bother to him. But alas... I will go by my previous experiences... We've purchased a lot at this store & in the past have always had great service! I usually never walk out of there without 1 handgun and one long gun because of the service. Unfortunately, I didn't see anyone we normally deal with... and because of this particular person we ended up leaving with only some bulk ammo... This may have been a one off...or maybe he was just tired that day... you never know! We'll definitely be back & hopefully see one of the regulars because for price & selection you really...
