Date of incident: July 16, 2019 Place of incident : Nike Outlet Store Paramus, New Jersey Re : Mistreated Customer by Nike Manager Outlet Mr. Ryan Egan
I have been a loyal customer to all Nike Outlet Store that I had been. The company can even review my purchase history that I have made. But at this particular Nike Outlet Store I was mistreated by the Manager, his name is Ryan Egan. Every customer’s right need to be heard and treated with dignity. But I was at the checkout line and approached by this inconsiderate Manager Ryan Egan, I was informed by this inconsiderate Manager Ryan Egan that, as I quote “ it’s a manager’s discretion, since you have returned some items over $1000 we cannot allow your remaining items to be returned, that you need to comeback tomorrow to return the remaining items.” I have all the necessary receipts at the checkout line, and in a mild manner I addressed to this inconsiderate Manager Ryan Egan that I drove 21 minutes just to return my items and asked him that as per my Nike official receipt there are no policies that state that a customer has over $1000 limit / day to return/refund items. That inconsiderate manager Ryan Egan just ignore my plea and still reiterated that it is his discretion! I was so frustrated, in a mild manner I asked for his name, and I did informed him that I will go thru channels, address his inconsiderate behavior towards a loyal customer of NIKE! Maybe I am just an ASiAN guy, it might be a different situation if a white to white individual with this similar situation will be easily resolved with ease! Mr Ryan Egan, the manager of Nike Outlet Paramus NJ... Thanks for nothing. Next time you don’t embarrass customers at the checkout line. If you are a deserving manager you can easily ask me out of the line, pulled me over to a corner, and have a discussion. But you really embarassed me at the checkout line, NiKE promotes EQUALITY, but you never observe EQUALItY ! You got the nerve to tell me to comeback the next day to return my remaining items ? What’s the difference between that night that I was physically present that I am eager to return my items, and to let me comeback the next day and painstakingly drive another 21 minutes just to return my REMAINING ITEMS. Have you ever at least be considerate right away ? You asking me “out of your discretion” as a manager to let me return my remaining items the next day? What’s the difference between that nigh and the next day, Mr Ryan Egan? I am sorry but I already emailed this matter to a huge News Agency, and rest assured when I wake up this morning I will surely address this matter to the Nike corporate office. I believe you deserve some repercussion from Nike corporate office for being inconsiderate with an ASiAN guy. Next time, before being inconsiderate with an ASiAN guy, try to access a customer’s purchase history vs return history ! By the way, Mr Inconsiderate Ryan Egan the manager, you better commend Ms Olivia Randolph who had helped me twice to take care of my returns. Ms. Olivia Randolph exemplifies good customer service, her smile and hospitality made me comfortable. So Mr. Ryan Egan maybe you can learn from your staff how to treat ASiAN customer with dignity and respect. I am definitely frustrated about how you treated me at the checkout line, please just a piece of advise, next time don’t embarrass customers at the checkout line, practice what NIKE company’s preach EQUALITY... No offense to the Nike Company, I will still remain Loyal to NIKE... But to you Mr Ryan Egan “The Manager”? being “inconsiderate” to LOYAL customers is not a...
Read moreLike the other reviewer said, they will follow you around the store if you’re black or a brown and they will have their black and brown workers do it so it doesn’t seem like it’s discrimination. I went in with my husband who is black and they followed us. He asked for help and the Hispanic woman was very rude to him so we left. I came back a couple days later to by the sneakers I really wanted and was followed again buy several employees. They don’t hide the fact that they’re following you either. It’s disgusting and I shouldn’t have bought anything but I wanted to show them I didn’t come there to steal or to be sneaky and I can afford to shop there. (Because they were watching me like a hawk.) They don’t ask if you need help but they hover over you and when you ask them for help they are rude. I can’t believe this is how you treat people who you are supposed to be serving. The people who fund your paycheck! Nike, train your staff to do better unless you are brainwashing them to think it’s okay to do this to members of THEIR OWN COMMUNITY. If you don’t want our money,...
Read moreThis store is absolutely the worst. The staff is very unprofessional, rude and not helpful. It took over a hour to get in the store to do exchange and then when you get in its more workers then shoppers that are unwilling to help you and they have a lack of knowledge has to how to do size comparisons and simple exchanges to get the exact same shoe in a smaller size. We had to do a full return and then use a gift card and I still dont know when I will receive the sneaker because I requested email and paper receipt. Guess what I only have a paper receipt that doesn't track my purchase. And yes I spoke to two store managers who looked at me like I was insane. No I was just disgusted as to how this store conduct business. Please dont shop here use the other store locations. I rate this place no stars a total F for fail to...
