Mulberry Lane Country Store — Local services in Parkersburg

If you're visiting and happen to be near this area, this place is a must visit spot. If you live within a 50 mile radius of this store I'm jealous that you have such a treasure readily available to you. It's an experience for all the senses! So many things to look at, touch, taste, even the music playing is fun to listen to. I spent a good hour and a half inside this store and could have probably have stayed longer if I wasn't in a bit of a time crunch. Yes, it's a lite bit of a souvenir shop, but just a little. Most of the shop has local treats as well as some local housewares and other fun stuff. I loved the kitchen areas, candle section and kids areas. The store has several different rooms/sections you can wander through and everywhere you go there is something interesting for you to see. The staff is very nice and helpful. They do have bathrooms so you don't have to leave the store for this. Even the bathroom is cutely decorated with some of the items you'll find throughout the store. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. For locals, they have a rewards program that gets you a $5 off coupon after reaching 100 points. You get 1 point for every dollar spent. I am from out of town and happened upon this place and thought it was cute and decided to stop in. BAD DECISION. I went in and the lady at the cash register was in a rather loud chatty conversation with one of her friends, and no one else acknowledged me either, even though i stood there for almost 10 minutes in clear view. I even went so far as to look at merchandise across from the cashier lady, but no luck. Still ignored. For the record there were around 3-5 shoppers in the store so it's not like she was busy.
