Zero stars if possible. (Former Student)
16 months sounds great, until you realize what you’re really signing up for.
For the sake of your well-being and future career, I’d recommend being very cautious before choosing this school.
There was 70 people in our cohort, probably about 30 now and not strictly due to academics…
They advertise a lot of “support,” but in my experience, genuine help was hard to come by. When students asked for clarification or assistance, we were often met with dismissive responses. The professors felt very robotic, with little emotion or engagement, which made learning even harder. The pharmacology course is completely online, yet there’s barely any support available if you need help understanding the material.
The simulation facilities are minimal (just two small labs on half a floor), which seems hard to justify considering the nearly $60,000 tuition.
Events were disappointing too our families couldn’t attend the pinning ceremony due to “space issues,” and communication around it felt unnecessarily harsh and stressful. It’s really important to read every line of the handbook because policies are strictly enforced, sometimes in ways that felt unfair or unexpected.
Also, despite being promoted as a hybrid program, all exams were proctored in person on campus using school-provided laptops, and students weren’t allowed to review their exams afterward. This made it difficult to learn from mistakes and improve.
Overall, I found the program disorganized, and while the staff could be difficult to deal with, the fellow students were wonderful—we were all just trying to get through it. I ultimately made the decision to withdraw from the program.
To any future nursing students: do thorough research and consider all your options carefully.
I could go on and on about many scenarios that happened but I can't due to the nature of it however keep your options open and there are many other programs available that will save you the...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I strongly recommend avoiding this program unless you attend the Rutherford campus. At this campus, many professors and even the dean show little concern for students’ success and seem more focused on money than education.
One of the biggest challenges is Professor Piard, who creates a very discouraging learning environment. She often speaks down to students, yells before and after practicums, and makes students feel small instead of supported. Unfortunately, bringing concerns forward isn’t helpful, as she has a close relationship with the dean, which makes it difficult for students to be heard fairly.
The one positive experience has been with Professor Pierce. She is approachable, supportive, and willing to explain concepts in different ways. She corrects mistakes respectfully and ensures students actually learn from them, which makes a huge difference in both class performance and exam preparation.
Overall, unless changes are made in leadership and teaching approach, this campus does not provide the supportive, professional environment nursing students...
Read moreDo not waste your time. ABSN program is very unorganized, but if you still want to know.. They do their best to admit you " and secure your spot as soon as possible, when they are still taking student last minute". Advisors put so much pressure on you to pay that they can also promise the world to you, once you struggles (including some professors they do not even know who will be responsable to help you). Money hunger, very antipatic, negative, unorganized and most importantly they can show some preferences to other students and is well known by the majority of their students. People are more capable than their handbook, and please do your job coherently it is an investment from a person to an instititution not the student place of work, do not rely on students figuring out stuffs and peer them to be successful when that is the job of...
