We recently had the misfortune of having a major plumbing issue that had to be fixed asap. We have a special needs adult day care that is in a low income part of town and all of our clients rely on getting most of their meals from us so working plumbing is extremely important. Our claims adjuster verbally gave the go ahead to start both the repair and restoration process. However, now the insurance is not going to pay for anything even though the adjuster gave the green light. When we brought up the fact that the adjuster told the contract company to get it done and that we never gave permission we were told " it needed to be done anyway". Yes it did need to get done but we would have had more time to shop around for more competitive bids. Now our day care is still in shambles with walls cut out and carpet removed. Just like other small businesses who have been affected by Covid, we are now having another financial set back because of something that should have been covered...

I literally had to file a complaint with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation just to get them to answer my calls and emails after two months of ghosting me and they are still doing everything in their power to avoid cutting a check for what amounts to a very small insurance claim after I paid them religiously for year and years. they approved the claim and it’s been five months and I still haven’t received the check! This is the most horrible company I’ve ever dealt with. They are a prime example of why people hate insurance companies. Read moreIf I could leave -5 stars I would. I have worked with many insurance companies throughout the years and my overall experience with this group has been beyond abysmal. My claims agent was essentially brain dead, and her manager continues to mansplain every step of the process in order delay covering our claim. We have had to file multiple complaints with the state department and continue to wait on due process. If you are thinking about using this group to insure your property, save yourself the time and pick another company.. best decision you’ll ever make.
